There is no God in that church. True worshippers worship God in spirit and in truth. If you don't know the truth about what it means to worship God as a Christian, you cannot worship him in spirit. This is the reason why what you wished will happen to Dino, won't happen to him, not because God is merciful but he's simply not in that place.
