If you have scheduled your appointment and now preparing for your interview, please try stay away from here. It seems the news of recent denials is not helping your psychology. No put yourself under unnecessary pressure. Stay away from this group for now. Then one more thing: revise your proposed transcript 3 times a day. Morning, afternoon and before bed. Correct what needs to be changed; put the important points first, so that before the VO cuts in, you'd have delivered quality response. Get Get familiar with your proposed transcript to an extent that if the VO wakes you up from the sleep and ask you any of the questions, you'll be able to say it confidently. Once you're able to deliver in front of the VO, your chance is higher. Statement and other factors outside your influence will do the rest.

Before you take a break, get someone you can do mock with. Do it every day.
Good luck!

Me I already said I will stop coming to nairaland as from Friday o. At least I have paid my dues, I av read each and every transcript from part 3-14. I am even still around to see if there's going to be any transcript this week. Once it's Friday me I Don go o
All these denied, delayed left and right would only be giving someone negative vibes although that's a reminder that it's no child's play and you have to do your best
Bruh we are together o... mine is even as from 10pm today

Can I Appear at the US embassy with another I-20 of a different school with a Fully Funded G.A. Position 6 month after being denied twice? What would have changed is the Graduate assistantship position. Is that enough to convince the VO?

More than enough. It could sell your story well if you use it to your advantage.

I think its high time the US embassy stopped requiring folks to go for physical interviews. they should revert to some points based system like the Canadians; submit all your documents, they process and vet them, and get back to you pronto!. All the circus show that goes on at Walter carrington is dehumanizing biko.

What is the best way to prove home ties, if the current company you work with isn't related to the degree program you are going for. Will it be a red flag if i tell theVO I'll be coming back to get a job, or I must have the job at hand before traveling

To get adequate ideas, what is your profile? What do you do? What program are you going for?

A lot is caused by our people as well.... the fake unspoken is high coupled with the way politicans have destroyed the economy that pushing people to find any way for a better life . It bound to have a ripple effect .

Yet we clap hands and praise their stolen wealth. In a normal country should Atiku or Buhari be given a second chance

That been said Us visa was never easy . They might have relaxed a bit and even allowed so many women give birth there and tightening up now but it never been easy

Even giving birth , initally our people start to abuse it because we must abuse and spoil things for others. Many will give birth and not pay until the embassy became very serious about cleared balances and receipt then our people behave themselves small ....

that been said I still blame politicians for this mess. Until we start holding them accountable no change is coming. We make noise on social media a lot but then it ends there .... And then secondly the change starts from me and you and every other person

Honestly Atiku shouldn't campaign again to rule Nigeria, a different person would have been better.

1, I haven't seen anyone here going for the same degree so it gets me a little bit worried lol. Regarding home ties, below is what i have prepared to say if asked what are my plans after my degree. I'm still compiling my transcripts.

After my masters degree, I'll be coming back to Nigeria to work with Nema (National Emergency Agency) and also partner with a NGO, and I am currently working on a project that i will submit has a proposal to the agency, which will contribute to the emergency preparedness of every citizen in my country.

Is that okay?

On the DS160 the part that ask who is the sponsor of this trip I picked the option of self, pls I need to know is it the same as sponsor of education? Can I change it if that a mistake? Will the change also affect my date of interview.

Hello guys, Please I need some advice.
First, I have gone for interview before, was placed on Administrative processing but was later denied. I felt maybe it was because of my statement. It was my Uncle's and it had the required minimum amount and a few more millions. required was 12m. I went with 16m.

I felt maybe they wanted to see more money. My interview is next month. I plan on adding my sister as my sponsor including my uncle. I am also thinking about getting another uncle of mine involved.

My question is. Will adding My 2nd uncle affect my chances or should I add only my sister?

Please I need advice from you guys.

Thanks

For masters you must have first class or 4.0+ cgpa and they selected university also, you can not just go there that you are a graduate of a school they are not in support.

Ooh okay thanks ...Buh honestly, I really don’t see how that’s gonna be feasible consedring the amount of people that applies for visa daily. Best of luck to future applicants

It is no difficult task. All they have to do is batch per bank.

hmmmm, but why should it be so hard? people want a better standard of education and after putting all the necessary efforts, they get denied.. not so fair to be honest.

Does America owe anyone their Visa? It is for each applicant to put in his/her best and hope s/he is granted the visa.

Well, what you read here is exactly what you will see at the embassy. If you have not done any interviews before, please read the posts here. It will prepare you well for the interview. It depends on you though. But i think its better to overwhelmed here than at the embassy.
