A landlocked country is a country without access to sea, a landlocked country is a country that is inside a country or countries.

South east which occupies imo, Anambra, ebonyi,abia and Enugu states is not landlocked.

It's connected to the ocean through Onitsha

There is a big difference between being landlocked and having access to the sea.

London is a completely landlocked area but London controls much of the UK shipping through the several river ports built on the River Thames that runs through the centre of London. The River Thames runs into the ocean

It should also be noted that Igbo land is much bigger than the so called 'SE'

Unless you're claiming the ships fly, this is an example of not landlocked since there is a navigable route to the sea!

The half education is really hurting our mentality .landlock simple means no access to the sea directly without going through another nation maritime boundary.

thought this issue has being treated here in Nairaland for countless of times. SE or better still Igboland is not landlocked.

So if Oyo state declares independence it's not landlocked because river Ogun runs from Oyo to Lagos lagoon and to Atlantic ocean?

I am sure you can see Uganda and Ethiopia on the map as landlocked countries even though the mighty River Nile runs from or through them to a delta in Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea.

So from what you are saying, it means that only about 8 states are not landlocked in Nigeria. Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Akwa ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa and Cross River.

That's the surest way to defeat any nation, not with guns or bombs, but destruction of it's educational system.

Same way the SE, is an area inside Nigeria. The point is that the same way London has access to the sea even though it has no shoreline is what applies to the SE.

Nigeria isn't landlocked either and the SE isn't a sovereign entity. The point is that both London and the SE have access to sea via their waterways

South east as a politcal zone or geologicaly? u cant determine a landlock country using just the political method, because south east is beyond wat nigeria government fed u with.

Go and make real genuine Peace with your Ikwere Ijaw and Ogoni Brethren especially for the Historical wrongs done to them .that way access to the sea will not be a problem..
