I know 85% of people don't know her In Nairaland
A typical book reader is conversant with not just Nora Roberts, but other popular names like Dan Brown, Suzanne Collins, JHC, etc

Sadly, the percentage of book readers in this part of the world is low like almost everything with a positive index

Some people get mind sha. Accuse a whole Nora Roberts of "stealing" your title. Title o. It's General knowledge as a writer that titles can't be copyrighted. But I guess our Nigerian aunty didn't know that before she started ranting on twitter. Accusing someone who started writing before you were even born wrongly. Nora Roberts kwanu!!! She doesn't need your title to push sales!! Her Name alone is Sales!!!!
The title Things Fall Apart is copyrighted. It is possible.

Sure? Chinua Achebe himself took the words 'Things Fall Apart' from a line by an Irish poet. How can he copyright it if he isn't even the originator?

Also other artistes have used 'Things Fall Apart' or something close to it as the titles of their works (ranging from album titles to films) since the publication of Achebe's novel.

I've gone past that level. I now see everything, good or bad as a spectrum of existence. So that when any of these happens to me or whoever I happen to like, I don't take it personal. You might not understand, don't expect you to, but that's what rocks my boat.
Interesting perspective I must say.
Kinda stoicism on another level maybe.

The movie was produced under the same title as Chinua Achebe's 1958 novel Things Fall Apart. After being contacted by Achebe's legal team, 50 Cent offered $1 million to keep the title Things Fall Apart for the film. The author of the 1958 novel took this as an insult. The foundation that manages Achebe's copyrights said: "The novel with the said title was initially produced in 1958. It is listed as the most-read book in modern African literature, and won't be sold for even £1 billion." The film was renamed to All Things Fall Apart.
