What a read. Thanks for sharing. Congratulations. I hope you get everything sorted out. I have had 5 months post-PPR and I still feel overwhelmed as the days draw near. May the lines fall for you in pleasant places.

Big congratulations bro!!! wow wow!

First of all, the e-family is glad and rejoice with you that this ended in solid praise!

To the urgent issue at hand: CLOSE MEDICAL EXPIRY DATE.

Hmm, it's been done before by a brother on one of our previous threads, writing his primary LVO and copy Accra for re-taking the medicals and thereby extending the landing deadline date.

You don't have anything to loose by "testing the system" (It's always my personal motto- I did somethings and followed some paths in my application that few folks here will likely not want to- and all passed- many friends that I shared those things with here said I was plain lucky or that I got a friendly case officer! grin

You know what to do if you strongly think you need the time to prep your exit properly, write a very persuasive email to Kyiv and copy Accra that on compassionate grounds, be allowed to re-take your medicals and hence by so doing, have your landing date deadline shifted forward.

In the meantime, reach out to Accra in a separate email within this 15 day passport submission window, and follow up on phone regarding this pending appeal to have new medicals done and hear what they have to say.

Congratulations once again!

It is possible and all will definitely end in praise las las IJN!

Do they pay for biometrics separately now?

The adr was actually for my daughter who is up to the age for biometrics. So I paid and yet no biometric instruction to proceed.

Gather round guys!!

Great news!!

It's PSS....1st Sunday in December!!

I had already dusted off my long koboko for this post, and then I saw the delicious, popcorn-worthy, uplifting piece of Sunday goodness.
Big big congratulations to you!!
I understand the feeling but trust me, you'll find your excitement again.
As for the medicals issue, if you really want more time, write to AVO, tell them you'd need more time and I'm pretty sure they will give you that time and ask you to do another.
Another option is to do soft landing
But in your place, I won't do any of that, even if they give only one day, we shall make the move like that grin
Congratulations again and thank you for such a sweet PPR gist

I have an informed feeling that more PPRs will be dropping on Wednesday/Thursday (4th/5th December) this week (Same signs that I saw when mine dropped are up again)

I pray that more e-famz here partake of these in-coming "golden mails" than ever before!

It will end in praise IJN!
Amen! I tap into this and claim it for myself and e-fam.

Congratulations Sting007. Thank you for the detailed account.

Thank you all for your respective useful contribution on this forum. I'm new here

Please I need your advice on this: I'm a Nigerian. I have my Bsc in engineering. I have 3 years of work experience in construction and fabrication industry but have been laid off for one year and six months now as my job position became redundant . I have been doing Plumbing work since after my secondary school education and even now that I don't have a job.

So I want to migrate to Canada through express entry as a plumber. My question is thus: how do I convince Canadian embassy that I'm a professional Plumber where as I don't have any certification or license to back it up as there is no really government agency that regulate artisans in Nigeria to issue license if one meet certain requirements. please my good people advice me on how to go about this.

Thank you in anticipation for your prompt response

You can still use the 3 years work experience if it's in NOC A, B or 0. It doesn't matter that you're not currently working there now. If you can get a reference letter, you're good to go. You are free to pursue the plumbing career when you get to Canada, it's not compulsory to work in the profession you filled in your PR application.

I advise you wait. I felt like this with my last ielts, instead of waiting for the result, I quickly registered again. And guess what, My result turned out good and so I didn't need to right again. I requested for my 75% refund on the new registeration but they are yet to credit me. It's over months now.

Does this mean no more sending certificate through Hello fax?
Probably means no more combining transcripts or WAEC scratch cards in one envelope to save courier costs
I'm beginning to think that it's witches and wizards that work in WES. They come to work on Monday morning and go; 'how can we make life more difficult for our customers?'
Please and please, people should avoid WES.
Paying for multiple qualifications in ICES is better than this. Even a 5 months wait with IQAS is better than this

@sting007 big congratulations.

I understand the mixed feelings. I waited over 10 months and got my PPR Nov 8th. Medical expires January 6. This gave us roughly 8 weeks to prepare. However, January ticket prices were high and we a family of 5. December was cheaper, so we booked December 24th.

It's a mad rush. So many things to be done in a short time.

Please resign immediately so you don't have to pay any lieu of salary.

I made a list of all we need to do and I tick off as I conclude.

We can't even sell most of our things as there is no time to bargain.

Airbnb is a big challenge cos there is scarcity due to the festive period hence high price.

In all I think God.

God bless and guide you.

I got NCE and HND.
Do I need to evaluate o levels? If you're going to WES. No if you're using ICES and co
Then is it on HND that I will evaluate or both NCE and HND? Yes, that will probably give 2 certificates and more points.
Please help me

thank you @ifeoma. the job I had experience on is not in NOC A, B, or O. I have tried to twist the job position to match it but to no avail. that's why I'm thinking of using Plumbing work.
