I don't think you have really done your homework about relocating. first of, you will spend three times the amount for airfares, which can easily be 3-4k dollars on airfare- wasted 3 months rent. Then the difference between rent for one person to a family of 4 is merely insignificant, but you are losing money paying for rent in two places. if you are a family with 2 children, you would have lost more than $13k in child support from the government in 1 year- Government pays the mother $540 something per month per child. Money the government pays you in child support can pay a substantial amount of your rent until you settle. Your kids would have lost free quality education for a year and you will still pay for education in Nigeria when you all would have settled in in less than 3-6 month here. doesn't make any sense to me if you asked me. Come with your kids, weather the storm, between you and your wife, that is twice the opportunity to get a job. In alberta, first 3 months for child care is free while you guys are trying to settle down, to look for a job. so really, what it will cost you. But once you have a job and they move in, believe you me, rent and childcare- you can't get free childcare again because you are now working - can easily take up to 75% of your salary. Be wise.
QED!!

I think they just want to keep delaying Nigerian EE applicants.
I agree with you. Thank God they're not the only ECA org.

if your masters is not from a foreign institution then go for ICES then you would not have to worry about WAEC or NECO

Walk-ins were entertained in the past. I don't know if one can still be attended to. What I meant though was going to their office to book an appointment.

Some people who are required to give biometrics have experienced same, so I would say it’s not abnormal. I would celebrate if I were you, at least someone is working on your application undecided

Quite strange because I was on IP2 a week ago, just after Biometrics.
Well, I remain thankful whilst trying to unravel what this means.

Good evening everyone. Please, forgive me if this question has been asked & responded to already. Did my ECA with WES & the only credential they need is my Msc transcript (at least that's what's showing there). I don't know if I did the right thing. Do I still need to send a copy of my certificate?

House, please, I need info about ECA from those that have used ICES recently . sent in my application Same day school emailed my credential with my client identification number to them. Its been a week now and my dashboard still reads application submitted which ought to have changed to received. I mailed them four days after school sent my credential and they replied that they are in the process of checking mails for the said date. But its been a week now and status still have not changed. Pls is this normal or should I contact them again or have my school forward another email to them ?
Hello All,

I wrote the Dec 1st 2018 IELTS. I feel i could have done better and I am considering not waiting for the result. I am considering registering for the one that will come up in 2 weeks. What do you guys think?

I am trying to hurry cos by March next year i will be a year older and I will loose 5 points.

I'm also not so confident about my listening on 1st December, but I'm still praying to God to take absolute control not only in listening but also in others. I registered for Dec 15th test MOD immediately after the BC test on 01/12/2018. My prayer is that I should pass excellently well in both.

I can't wait to enter the express entry pool. I really need CLB 10. God answer my prayer.

Did you have to print out and fill the form? What payment option did you tick, was it Bankdraft as it is in the sample form?
I'm asking cos i didn't see any debit card option

It wasn't as difficult as you are making it sound... I just clicked on credit card option and used my GTB debit card details. That's all. Good luck.

I moved from ip2 to ip1 when I got rprf request. Don’t think it’s a big deal, frankly I don’t think you should bother about it. Just pray for speedy processing, leave cic to do whatever they want.

Hi Guys...

I don't know if its just me.... I have noticed that more than 75% of the questions asked in the past 20 pages, if not more, are very basic questions that could have been resolved by going to page 1.

As much as i don't want to sound like a kill-joy, I think the experienced ones should spend more time referring people to page 1. I can bet you that if you answer a question now... be ready to answer it again in the next 3 to 5 pages. Yes!! its that bad now.

Please, and please, let's not make this thread move too fast. As a matter of fact, one thing i'm certain is that... when a person goes back to page one in search of a particular information, there is a 90% probability that the person would find other information that would be useful subsequently in the journey.

Infact, I still go back to page 1, despite having spent quite a while on this thread... and I still get very relvant information... even from as far back as 2016.

Please, let's help ourselves. Like the seniors would say... this is a life-long/ Life-changing decision, which you need tp find out things yourself. Reduce the level of reliance on what people tell you, as they could make mistakes. In no time, you would be a body of knowledge to reckon with on this subject matter.

Thanks.

God bless us! God bless Naija!! God bless Canada, our new home!!

The sequence of IP1 and IP2 is no longer followed in all cases. So i know its best to find out directly from CIC on the key sections of the application: Eligibility, security.. etc. by calling them or ordering for GCMS notes.

My own opinion though.

At this rate I don't think it's worth anyone's time to build and maintain a page one on the next part of the thread. Let everyone just ask their questions and let everyone just keep responding. What's the essence of a Page one if the same FAQs are still being asked and answered? Meanwhile so much work goes into building and updating the page.

Those of us who read page one can always come back to this part 6 to read it.
