HigherEd:If David Oyedepo, PhD (owner of universities, teacher, religious influencer, successful in business, owner of private jets) could be misled by such simple satire , he is indeed a charlatan and an impostor. |

It is becoming very clear that the Nigerian Church is increasingly being dominated and tarnished by bigots of the likes of Bishop Oyedepo who hijack the sacred alter to preach hate - it is as simple as that. |

Goke7:In one week God revealed two of such religious pastors, David Oyedepo and Ejike Mbaka. The only difference is that Mbaka was not speaking for his organisation, the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria speaks for the Church in Nigeria |

Anybody who believes Buhari was cloned or the person in Aso Rock now is am impostor should go seek for the refund of his/her school fees if he/she ever attended any institution. One must be special kind of stupid to believe that a wife and family won't recognized a clone in their family. Your certificates are useless |

Oyedepo has just finished himself. Look at the unimaginable disgrace he has fallen into. |

HigherEd:How can a preacher of Bishop Oyedepo's exposure, education, and standing in global society believe that a family from Sudan is in Nigeria, threatening the powers that be and requesting for 50% of Nigeria's wealth ![]() How can the leader of a globally recognized church believe that the President of a country like Nigeria died and was buried secretly abroad, then was replaced by a foreigner that is such a look-alike that even his wife and family would not know ![]() How can Bishop Oyedepo claim he does not know that politicians who can conceive, plan and execute such an intricate plot would not be so careless as to leave any loose strings that would give the plot away ![]() Let us even say this insane plot is even true and indeed we have an impostor in Aso Rock. Does Bishop want to say he doesn't understand the virtue of circumspection given that he is a man of influence whose words are "ye and amen" for teeming members of his congregation across the globe ![]() Please let us call it what it is! Bishop has scarcely hidden his disdain for the person of President Buhari. I originally thought it was a general contempt for Muslims of the Fulani tribe given his numerous speeches where he railed against and even laid curses and spoke against them. But Bishop's recent public hobnobbing with another Fulani man in the person of Alhaji Atiku has made me realize that it isn't hatred for the Hausa/Fulani in general, but disdain for one Fulani in particular...Muhammadu Buhari! Bishop's recent sermon was fueled by that same disdain and in his blind hate for the President, he missed all of the obvious cues that clearly showed the write-up was a satiric piece and thus embarrassed the body of Christ yet again. I share your opinion that partisan politics should be kept away from the altar of God. The place of the priest is to lead the people in prayer for the peace of the nation and the wisdom of God upon the leaders of the land. The place of the church is to heal the schisms in the land and not exarcerbate them. |

Nigerian Pentecostals should just go home after Praise and Worship. That's enough service already. Every other activity is capable of defrauding the congregation, morally or financially. |

HigherEd:Look, the people accusing Oyedepo of being biased against Buhari are bitterly biased against him and other pastors. I've noticed a pattern: most of these people are just jealous. That is the root of their constant attacks against pastors and churches. No matter what he or other pastors does, meanings will always be read into it. Their thought always goes: why would he be flying private jets, living big etc? Do you think if muslims were the ones having these universities, errecting gigantic structures they will listen to your criticism and slow things down? Don't you think Sultan, El-Rufai and MURIC would back them up and threaten everyone? The push for churches to start paying taxes in Nigeria( emphasis on Nigeria, because we are a religious country) is borne out of jealousy. I'm very sure if Oyedepo had praised Buhari to high heavens these current attacks wouldn't have come. It is not nice that Oyedepo criticised Buhari now but it was nice when Buhari's political machine lied in 2015 that he said he would open the gate of hell? HiggerEd, stop replying some of these guys here, they will never never see anything good about Oyedepo or the church. |

HigherEd:My preliminary findings: 1. Oyedepo is not a PhD holder. 2. There is no University of Honolulu. 3. There is an unaccredited distance learning diploma mill called Honolulu University (Honolulu University of the Arts, Sciences, and Humanities). 4. To buttress claim that Oyedepo received a PhD in Human Development from Honolulu University, Hawaii, US, Oyedepo's wikipedia page made reference to a publication by one Adelegan, Femi (2013) - Nigeria's Leading Lights of the Gospel - WestBow Press. p. 139. ISBN 978-1-4497-6953-6 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Oyedepo Please feel free to correct my findings with facts as my intention is not to pull him down but to help facilitate sanctity of accurate information in the public domain. |

akynkunmy:He 'hates' him because of his nonchalant attitude toward the killing of Christians in the middle belt and his romance with Miyetti Allah and the rest. Do you, yourself, like Oyedepo? Is there love, godly love, in your heart? It's human nature we are mostly guilty of what we accuse others of. |
| Re: Oyedepo, The Media And The Power Of Irresponsible Journalism by Shikena(m): 12:52am On Dec 05, 2018 |
HigherEd:Thanks. That's the unaccredited diploma mill - http://www.honolulu-university.edu/ *Diploma mill: An institution or organization that grants large numbers of educational degrees based on inadequate or inferior education and assessment of the recipients OR A diploma mill is a company or organization that claims to be a higher education institution but provides illegitimate academic degrees and diplomas for a fee. These degrees may claim to give credit for relevant life experience, but should not be confused with legitimate prior learning assessment programs. |

| Re: Oyedepo, The Media And The Power Of Irresponsible Journalism by dgee1(m): 1:17am On Dec 05, 2018 |
Shikena:No, he is not 'too big'. He just doesn't give a damn about what people say. If he does, he wouldn't be been doing all he is doing now. Bishop Oyedepo 'hatred' for Buhari started when Christians were being killed mercilessly in the middle belt and Buhari couldn't do anything. If the reverse was the case what do you think those Jihadists would have done and be doing now? Lots of ignorant people here are criticizing him for coming out and taking a stand. Where were they when Oyedepo came out when they were trying to abolish C.R.K stylishly ? If these people think Christians will fold their arms this time around and call on Jesus to come and defend them, they are gravely mistaken. This time we will pray and we will fight. Some praying inside and others doing battle. If one of your family members was killed in the onslaught against christians in the middle belt, you will not hate Oyedepo for speaking up. Other pastors can be acting gentle, not this one! People need to go read about how Turkey changed from a majority-Christian country to majority-Muslim country. |

EvilMetahuman:Is Miyetti Allah and Boko Haram the same? Couldnt he do something about Miyetti Allah who value cows more than humans? Do you, in honesty, believe Buhari isn't sympathetic towards these herders whose association he was once the patron? It is none of your business if I am a sheeple or not. It is becoming fashionable for Nigerians to point fingers at churches as the cause of the woes in the country. This is utter rubbish. America that we copy was once a very religious country. Their constitution is fundamentally built on biblical laws. You can go and verify. But there was an apostasy which is why they are fast losing their glory. To claim to be gay/lesbian then was classified as a mental disorder. How many of you 'intelligent ones' now will let 'IN GOD WE TRUST' be written on our coat of arm now? Wouldn't that be a sheeple thing to do? But America did it then! If you don't give these pastors your money, then keep quiet. Majority of your are just jealous, check your heart. Jealousy is the problem. Let those that prefer to be 'scammed' continue to be. |

When you listen to Oyedepo quoting the bible, all you do as a sane man is laugh Dude so pompous of himself and thanks to the members that see him as an acclaimed Bishop or Father. They all out rightly fools. #NoApologies Right in the compound as I type. Everything is commercial here but the fools called brethren would never know. Someone would ask me how I got my assertions, I am in the system. This guy keeps giving you evidence and preaches about how that institution belongs to him If his members know how much coming through the back door to milk the poverty stricken congregation; they would revolt. Oyedepo is a brilliant chap to be able to fool multitudes at same time, and the amazement is they all loyal. Someone with sane mind need to be here at this programme and see how fools are abound in Nigeria |

dgee1:This is not all about jealousy, Its about seeing fools at full flight Am in the compound as I type, They like zombies. Travelled from PH to Ogun state to come sleep on the grass expecting miracle ....... How can a human be so foolishThis guy has stated to his members that Winners was founded by him and belongs to him. In case of death, Properties does not belong to church even though acquired through Church funds If Oyedepo makes Heaven, We all going What that guy makes from private investors in that programme is enough to produce 100 miliionaires every year. Do the members audit; they all sheeps |

Listen Mr Man, if you don't know or have anything to say then shut that gutter in your face. you are talking about fake news and you are here misquoting what the man of God said. bros abeg go fine work do. |

[s] dgee1:[/s]sheeple.! Herdsmen issue has always been problem between farmers and herdmen not herdmen vs christians coz they dn't Go after churches. but as usual, sheeple made It herdmen vs christian thing because their private jet flying pulpit robber told them that and they must brainlessly defend his honour. If oledepo truly cares about christians, he shoulda been the one at d fore front of campagne against jonathan. that woulda made his/hatred towards buhari on herdmen issue justifiable. |

EvilMetahuman:Bro; this guys are fools Am in the compound raking in an average of 300k per minute, you did wanna ask me how possible, fools are abound. Really hurts but this sheeples are like programmed lots You see lots of fools sleeping on grass under canopies cos they believe a man like them has the pass to their success. You need to be here. You will arrive at a conclusion that Nigeria has much population of insane people than sane people. Brain washed lots. Evert thing is commercial here ... Every body bought a right to trade at the expense of the members who patronize the service The church makes the bulk, the fools pray |

What does it take to bag a genuine PhD? Ability to do through literature search from reliable sources, review and screen out misleading and unverifiable materials. Above all, good research is founded on proffering solutions rather than creating mountains of new problems. Second, as a religious leader that he claims to be, could he not have sought God's face for the truth if such past claims of being a prophet of God is to be taken seriously. Finally, let everyone know that miracle is not exclusive to any specific religion. God shows mercy to whomever He wishes. Buhari received such mercy of miraculous healing and restoration of health. It is now evident that the likes of Oyedepo never wished him recovery. God is not a man. He has proved many times both in public and private that his allegiance is to the PDP. HigherEd: |
