Go and collect your passport you'll see if it's positive

@cmagnum please how did you booked a valid hotel. Through all I have been reading all this embassy no longer accepts booking.com or hotel.com reservations again. Please enlighten us.
Thanks

What I did was to view thru booking.com for hotels in Paris, then googled them to get their website ( I used google chrome so I can translate to English). Then I booked direct from the website. Now here’s the trick, u will be charged the first night as deposit. But I advice you book months to trip, as you can cancel reservation few weeks to the expected arribal date and you will be refunded in full.

For me, I used classic hotel Paris bastille ( tho the hotel is full and no more available space) it’s 132/122€ per nite with buffet breakfast. I booked two weeks since October. When I go the visa in November, I changed my reservation to the first two days and completed the days with Airbnb booking. You can cancel all and get full refund as long as it’s some weeks or days to your expected arrival date.

Pls make sure you read the hotels cancellation policy. This is VERY VERY IMPORTANT....

This is not true, I used Booking.com and I got my visa. I never took my letter of employment to Chamber f Commerce to attest nor did Inadd income tax clearance.

I feel you should just submit basic document and some should be showing your strong tie here. All the best.

This argument has been had on this thread several times and I read thru them all before applying for my visa. The bolded part is the most important of the whole visa application. If you like pay for hotel and flight, if you don’t have valid documents to show strong ties in naij, I doubt if you will be given the visa. But for me, after I read the argument on here in earlier post, I felt like after documents and all have been added to your application, a paid hotel reservation will serve as a strengthener to you application ( this mayb wrong, but it’s my own thought). But because these bookings.com reservations and it’s like get canceled after two days, then it’s more like u didn’t do any reservations then ( still my own thoughts tho). Like I said, you are 100% correct abt having strong ties, but the question is what is the definition of strong ties to different VO and for different people.

Good day everyone,
I intend to travel to France next year February (3rd), I will be going for a training but I don't really have a strong travel History (Kenya and Ghana), please do I stand a chance?. also my passport is about expiring, the passport has a schengen Visa 2015 which I did not use (Visa came late due to election), should I just present the renewed passport and not attached the old one that has the unused Schengen visa and entry to Kenya and Ghana. Please I need the house advice

I must agree with you to a significant level. ...Do booking.com cancel reservation after two days? I doubt this except the person filled an invalid credit card details. Strong ties varies and millions in your account does not serve as strong ties...we can say, How much do you earn monthly? how long have u been at the job? self-employed? how long has the coy been in existence? how many people are currently on the companies payroll? landed properties, family(Spouse and children), Are you presently studying? aged parent or sibling depending on you?
Above, be prayerful. what works for VO A might not work for VO B.

This is quite misleading. If he doesn't attach the old passport, they will not accept the copies of visas included. It is clearly stated that if you will submit previous passport copies of visas n markings, the passport must be attached.

if you stay in South, please go to Lagos for submission but if anywhere North, go to Abuja. Your place of residence determines where you will submit. All the best.

Please, can anyone in the house help me out? I'm having issues getting my dad's employment letter attested by Benin Chamber of Commerce. On getting to their office I was told my dad's employment letter cannot be attested, reason being that his office is a Government owned establishment. I was told that it's only private coy that can be attested; only after being registered with CAC and also as a member of the chamber. Please I don't know how true this is.
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by johnsonm2g: 7:25pm On Dec 04, 2018
Does it mean an employee in a Government establishment doesn't need his/her employment letter attested before applying for a French Visa?

It’s not really a criteria to get your employment letter attested before you can apply for visa at France embassy. You can just submit it like that

Ghana is no worthy travel history in this context. An expired passport with any of the UK, US, Canada and Schengen visas/travel history in it counts for something, and will be accepted by them alongside your application....

Sorry about that. Appeal is a waste of time, i will suggest you get somebody with experience to help u look into your application to see if there’s something you did wrong then you can reapply.
