So how do I get cheap accomodation and how do I start looking for work since am allowed to work.
Also which airline shld I use. If there is anyone in auckland here i wld appreciate

The program is still ongoing but most Nigerians can't meet up with the present points for ITA (160 points).

Let me see if this helps. How may of us have considered going tru silver fern as a pathway to obtaining NZ PR? I did some research and i found out that Indians use this route a lot.
And yes 160 point is very obtainable. With an msc, 8yrs work experience, one can easily make 160 points. Let's make use of these alternatives abeg. As for silver fern am giving it a try once it opens, i encourage us to use that medium also.

PAR is the short version to say your qualification is recognised in NZ. It's also way cheaper. The IQA actually gives a comparative qualification. So it will your your degree is equivalent to a NZ degree or lower so cannot be accepted as a degree qual. It's also more in depth as it asks for your trnascripts etc. It's also about 3 times more expensive. However you will need it for any work/ study visa application so you may well do the IQA first time

it means if your skills are not what they need then you must have worked in the above countries for 8 years to qualify.

not really they need doctors they need engineers especially IT, they need nurses any course outside those please dont come. Thats why we should always study courses that are worth it.

Civil engineers,project managers,Foremen,Operators and other construction professionals including carpenters and plumbers are hot cake in NZ.Those occupations are in short skill demand list.

This visa is granted for the purpose of obtaining skilled employment in New Zealand. If this temporary work visa is granted, the decision on your residence will be deferred. If you obtain skilled employment during the deferral period your residence application may be approved. If you do not obtain skilled employment during the deferral period your residence application will be declined.
I saw the above on the website. Does it mean that becos i dont have a skilled employment in new zealand i cannot apply for permanent residency.

I am not very knowledgeable on the subject but I think we can exchange ideas and gradually get more information on the subject.

Let me share a few of what I have found out so far.

First, as a skilled worker hopeful, the first thing to do is to check if your skills are in demand. It is noteworthy that there are immediate skilled shortages and long-term skilled shortages.

Second is to check if you are eligible. If the finding is positive, the next thing to do is to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Be ready to cough out about $530 to support the application

Your ascertion is quite confusing also.I read your statement over and over again until I was able to understand what you are talking about.

Have you started the main EOI Skilled Migration app or you are still trying to use the free online assessment to find out your eligiblity.
1.The exact point that will be awarded base on your qualification will be when you have done the educational pre-assessment ie PAR but if you are still assessing your eligibility using the free online platform and award yourself level 6 for 50 points it will not reflect the same when you eventually do the qualification pre-assessment.
if my explanation is not clear then summarise your first question let be elaborate more on it

2.you will get bonus point awarded to you if your skill is among the list of absolute skill shortage if not they will not award you any bonus point then if the skill is among the long term skill shortage a bonus point will also be given but from my own observation so far,the occupations in both list are always different
I don't think you will claim points for both.they classified the occupations in short term and long term bases.so your occupation can't be in short term as well as long term skill shortage.i will clarify you more if you wish
