That's not attempting suicide. You notice those slashes were nowhere near the vein in her wrist, that is where the danger lies, not cutting her skin.
There is a clinical name for people who cut themselves but I forgot what it is called. It's a form of mental illness. I know a girl who has at least 30 razor slashes on both of her arms and she did it to herself. This is the deal, people who do that to themselves do it because they hold a lot of pain inside and they can't let it out like we normally do, so they cut themselves to make themselves feel and release the pain. It is also a cry for help and attention. She doesn't want to kill herself if she did there would be no records because she would be dead. One deep slash going straight down the wrist, not across and she's a goner. She knows what she is doing. Well, at least she's getting the attention that she craved.
Don't mind her, those razor wounds looks like scratching a hand against a wall or something. Her post makes me angry, she is selfish and an ingrate to God and her family. I saw a little boy, disabled on both legs at begger, laying on the ground begging, what did he ever do to deserve that,I asked myself?
But here's a girl with probably a very good phone, her own room, parents, siblings, maybe an undergraduate or graduate, talking about committing suicide because of depression, what depression? God didn't send anybody, you were lucky, slowpoke undecided

Well that's not exactly true. Suicide was rare and severely discouraged but some people did it. They went and hung themselves in "evil" forests. Times were simpler though and there were less issues to deal with.

You get sense die.

Slash the wrist one time and you're gone but you don't wanna die so you kept on beating around the bush and even recording each step so that one day it will go live on facebook.

The way people seek fame these days eh...

If she really wants to commit suicide why is she not slashing her wrists She must know that where is cutting up has no risk of ending her life. Truly she requires psychological help but do not think she is suicidal

I keep saying it, depression is real and prevalent in this clime, nobody should chastise or judge anyone going through it.

You havent been in anyones shoes but your own to know how it feels. We all hurt differently.

Support, love and counselling is the only antidote to depression. Let’s learn to love ourselves so we can love others.

Please everything shouldn't be joked with. Depression is real and I know how I have been battling it for over 3years.
The only person who has been of help was a guy who came to rescue were I was trying effortlessly to kill myself with excess alcohol in a drinking joint.
Please once in a while ask after your friends and know how they are doing.
Please do this and you will save a life.

So many think think depression is about your circumstances but it really is not. Its a brain illness similar to stroke, epilepsy, brain tumour. Depression is a symptom of a dysfunctional brain that requires treatment.

You can have everything in life and still want to die and just a little stressor that a normal person can cope with would push you over the edge. Before we pass judgement lets remember that depressed people are sick first and need medical help.

We do not call people who have cancer attention seekers so why should we call people who are sick with depression and need help.

If you know about suicide and depression you'll theres a lot of ambivalance in suicide where the person cant decide to if to die or live. Thats the time the person needs urgent help before the person takes 'final decisions'.

She said she cut herself to feel better and not to commit suicide. Not everyone is attention seeking like you. People got real life problems.

Like u said it’s a condition and and a 1st stage to testing the remedies u have to either the pain or depression after all and no solution or help necessary attention as u call it comes it could finally end up in suicide. Not every victim wants to die they are fighting a lot of mindset/demons.

It means the increasing numbers of religious houses are all for nothing, morality is dying & values are redefined wrongly thanks to them.
Our forefathers never created unhealthy competition across every aspects of human life like we have now.
