Since the beginning of my predicament, I have sought different ways to ameliorate the situation. Some have advised I look up to God, look away and be contented, get busy with something i have passion for, try herbs, get an addiction etc. Hmm... The pain i feel still remains

unfulfilled educational dream

Right from pry 1 till when i entered college, i always stood out amongst my peers. I often climbed the podium to receive awards for my academic feat. The Tsunami that hit me when i almost finished my higher education startled me. I never imagined failure. I thought i was billed for the top. Poor health and unpaid fees have made my dreams a mirage.

I can't begin to imagine the wasted funds for handouts, school fees, hostel fee, clearance etc. I try to avoid my ex-classmates so they don't rub their success in my face. I'm not part of their whatsapp group. But somehow their progress is still glaring to see (like on facebook). This breaks me down

mood-killing health

sometimes i want to sing to the top of my voice out of gaiety but i'm limited. I want to work assiduously like a man but i'm constrained. I would soon be 27 yet i'm as weak as a child.

I have throbbing headache, throat discomfort, fluctuating body temperature, difficulty emptying my bowels, toilet infection and other complications. My hygiene is suffering as a result. I smell but i've stopped listening to my body due to a disconnection from reality.

I took panadol extra and slept from 1pm to 9pm to see if things would get better but the pain won't go away.

'When there is life, there is hope.' No doubt, It's the reason i've kept myself going. But this is not the life I used to imagine. I had hoped to move to Lagos or Abuja after schooling to kick start my life. Look where I ended up. At home, in bed. I'm at the mercy of my mum who is retired. I can't fend for myself. I can't boast of 200 naira to sew my torn jeans and buy shaving stick. Hmm...

The school i manage to teach have already told us beforehand that there would be no December salary due to low funds. Hmm... It's going to be a bleak christmas.

My mates are probably cruising town and changing their wardrobe for the big day. I play music to soothe me but the pain refuses to go
