Tithes was never a guarantee towards upliftment or making heaven, it was never meant as a gate pass towards all the good things in life. God does not operate like the government, he is not tied down by elected bureaucracy. Some of the men God use in the bible were not even christains. They were chosen to carry out a task. More like fill the gap.
