Dear Prof. wip7 et al.

Kindly follow this link https://www.researchgate.net/publication/328282699_Repellent_and_Insecticidal_Activities_of_the_Root_Extracts_of_Chromolaena_odorata_and_Mimosa_diplotricha_Against_Macrotermes_species to gain access to my most recent Co-authored publication titled Repellent and Insecticidal activities of the root extracts of two invasive alien plant, Chromolaena odorata and Mimosa diplotricha against Macrotermes species.

It was published in the Journal of Entomology (indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, SCI amongst other high-profile indexing outlets).

It's a great paper.

Congrats! I read the work its quite impressive and the idea of using alien plants would generate citable records.

Friendly note: However, the Journal of Entomology is not an SCI journal. Sometime those journals only lied on their website. You can always check if any journal is under SCI or not by visiting the ISI database. Also, this journal charges you to publish and does not have impact factor!

I will suggest you consider in your next research highly indexed (SCI, scopus etc) and more reputable (with ISI impact factor) free journals, such as

JOURNAL OF APPLIED ENTOMOLOGY
JOURNAL OF ASIA-PACIFIC ENTOMOLOGY
TURKISH JOURNAL OF ENTOMOLOGY
SYSTEMATIC ENTOMOLOGY

Best wishes and more publication am expecting from you guys!

Thanks Prof.

I'll put all of these into consideration whenever I have the full authority of publishing a manuscript.

You're a great influence on this forum.

God Bless!

It's a very nice article I must say. Aside it's medicinal use, never knew C. odorata had such insecticidal and repellant capacity. I'd like to send a PM, hope you wouldn't mind?

My Recent Publication: Magnetic Layered double hydroxide based nanocatalyst

Brief:
Here a novel and industrial nanocatalyst was fabricated from layered double hydroxides (LDH). The fabricated LDH was infused with magnetic capability and characterized for usage in textile effluent treatment, energy storage, biomedical and CO2 conversion to green energy.

Research: The fabrication and analyses of the nanocatalyst were conducted in Cyprus, Turkey and characterization were done in conjunction with BASF Germany Chemical company, Catalysis laboratories in Netherlands and Canada research.

Publication: The research was published in TOPMOST SCI engineering journal ranked 1/50 with an impact factor of 11.7 first time for such to be published in Cyprus/Turkey.

Am into application of Rock physics into the exploration of Groundwater I need some input as to how I can formulate some generally acceptable research works on my MSc thesis and possibly PhD. Pls which school did you do your MSc and currently PhD.
My possible topic is Integration of GIS, Vlf-Em and Electrical Resistivity Methods in the Evaluation and Characterization of the Groundwater potential of Hard crystalline basement terrain. A case study of kuje Abuja

Hello again.
What is the best way for a prospective scholar to develop an interest in a particular area of their academic field?

1. Genuine fascination and intellectual curiosity with a subject matter.
2. The financial impact that it will have on you. Some areas are regarded as "hot cake" in Accounting like Tax and I have a colleague who has concentrated in this area.
3. Publish just any paper that you fancy. You don't have to concentrate on a particular area. This might be justified for someone who is running after a particular set of scholarship and then, they only publish in these diverse areas to improve their chances of being accepted into any of the program or programmes.

OND elect/elect. FEDPOADO -upper credit
BEng Electrical ( telecoms option)- UNILORIN - 2.1
MSc Elect/Elect.(Microprocessor &Control)-UI- MPhil(3.8/7.00)

I strongly desire to proceed in elect/elect but not UI because it is a professional course in UI

Pls which schools do u suggest in the west(Unilag, funnab, lautech, oau,OOU etc)

and can I still do a PhD?...must I begin with MPhil? And what difference would it have made if I had an MPhil/PhD or a PhD grade as eligibility grade at my MSc

I had to work and school at my postgraduate and that earned me an MPhil grade .AmI missing anything with this grade?

Your urgent advice is needed please

Do you plan to study in FRANCE, BELGIUM, AUSTRALIA, INDIA, USA, UK AND THAILAND. There are currently genuine scholarships available -masters and PhD, with limited space in all these countries listed.
Do you also want to pay your CANADIAN AND USA SERVIS FEE?
Do you need help to do a successful F1 visa application to the United States, in order to avoid denials?

My PhD research focuses on the impact of Artisanal Mining on Geological Media, Ecology and Human Health in Selected Geological Settings of Nigeria.
For this study with the approval of the PG Board, I collected: Groundwater, Surfacewater, Mine water, Soils, Rocks, Stream Sediments, Mine Tailings, Human hair and nails. In all I collected 550 samples.
I got a research grant of 10,000 RMB from the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guiyang in 2017 for my research. I traveled there for three months for my analysis.
Based on this research I was given a conference grant to Boston, USA this year. I will be presenting part of the work at the 1st Annual conference of the International Association of Medical Geologists, Nigerian chapter which holds in UI.
This research is already bringing more collaborations for me.
