Drivers will cry less, car owners will car more... If driver can adept to this hardship then they will always find other ways to survive if uber park up....

The guy said it all. I ve campaigned about it when It rosy that drivers hardly ve a good savings...

Check out those driving for partners and now own their cars did not get money for their car thru the that only but got the fund else where to purchase their car.

Dru if ur driver makes 100k gross. Have you ask yourself about he saves at the end of that week?

Pays you 35k. Left 65k
Bought fuel 20k left with 45k ( that's if 2k make 10k consistently which is hardly possible)
Pays uber 25k left with 20k
Pays 10k for tolls, feed, car wash, weekly sub and many other expenses .. Left with 10k (and that if 10k can pay tolls, feeding and the rest)

Ur driver dru is suffering, but proverty won't let him accept it so far he gets something
I am a driver partner but the first month I hit the road just to know what they are really talking about. My dear it was not easy especially now that fares have been reduced. Drivers out there are really suffering o. Feeding, car wash, other expenses and some even have wife and kids at home. God go really help this country. Imagine driving someone from lekki to ikotun for 3500 and with traffic...? How would people survive in this business venture?

I want to go into the uber/taxify business. Is it advisable for me to start with an EOD?. Since EOD is 2003, I have my fears that taxify might decide to change their policy of 2003 cars to 2004 cars.
Has anyone heard that their might be a policy change or should I go ahead?

ifyeez:
I use EOD and I can tell you not try it, Uber/Taxify kills the car faster than Nigerian Economy, I use mine coz it's a personal car, I reject trips a lot, and I don't work all the time, I work 3 times a week, and if I hear any sound am done for the day mechanic straight, infact I visit mechanic anytime I stress the car out. Like visiting iyana ipaja and agege lakwe, ijegun, ejigbo, anytime I go to those areas, my car pays for it

Greedy greedy greedy,u always mention this word in most of ur sentences. What do u see as being greedy?

Example, one of the driver that was working for me ..very well known on nairaland... He came to us beg for a car ..drove the car deliver at times.. He will come up with excuses not to deliver, family issue , he is the head of his family first child etc , he owns people money etc. You tell him how much can you pay weekly to catch up with your debt. He will say 35k ,next thing you know he will not pay .. But the car is still in his possession ,finally we sack the guy and he didn't even pay is 90k debt.. He has been doing uber since uber was uber Till now the guy can't even afford his own car or place to live....
The old fleet manager we had .. He will pay 80k this week from all the drivers.. Few days later he will come back and collect it back ..this is in forms of repairs .. He will condemned the cars, his excuse was it is not corolla.. You give him money to do oil change for the cars.. He will not do it at all ..how do we know all these things.. The drivers that he fired will later come and tell us all the poo he was doing.. Other investors that was recommended to him ,took back their cars. The same games he was playing with us was doing the same to others.. The list goes on and on and on

You successfully communicated nothing bro. I've been in that situation time and again and never has it turned out in the way you were trying to postulate.
I've picked a rider from mm2 to mminternational and have gotten a request at mminternatinal while on concord way etc and completed all trips.
I know what happens within the airport parameters.
Nothing is absolute bro, you need to make that clear so you don't scare newbies away from the airport making it look like a trap zone.

If he didn’t modify the text, he’s saying that when you get the request to pick up at MM2 and d rider says you should rather drive towards MMI to pick him up, that means d rider is probably standing by on MMI airport road & by one of the bus-stops which is forbidden to private cars.

I hope that’s his message.

This is indeed sad, how people deprive others of getting help because of their own selfishness, this might just be only battery but it is stealing irrespective, please let's give him a week, if he doesn't return it, I will send you his address and people he contacts frequently. We need to get rid of bandits in the name of drivers.
