The Company managing the official Twitter handle of Guiness Nigeria PLC has apologised over the "Shut Up Your Dirty Mouth" tweet made towards a man during the Vice Presidential debate last night.

Terragon Group said on their Twitter page that the tweet was sent in error by a team member and they sincerely apologize to @johannxs.

They reiterate that the tweet had nothing to do with their client Guinness Nigeria PLC.

Just some days to Christmas and someone has been relieved of his job, he should take the lessons and move forward. Next time, don't bring sentiments into work, always be professional and know that Nigeria Politicians are not worth fighting or dying for.

Error or not, the tweet emanated from verified Guiness tweeter account and represents the opinion of the company. An apology from a third party contractor does not suffice. Guiness can't play the ostrich at this time. Guiness has the responsibility for what is put out in its name
