so, Abidal does not run anything by the President? So, the President gets news about who the team plans to sign at the same time fans get the news?

Is that how you think establishments are run? undecided

Anyway, my point has been passed. You are not in any position to tell us what news is fake and what is legit.

There are some signings that are not even vetoed by the manager, like Malcom for example was just bought not because Valverde wanted him hence his lack of game time.

Besides what I told you clearly is that Abidal is the one incharge of transfers, if for example I am close to Abidal I don't need to be close to the president to know. So long as a club has a person in the same position that Abidal occupies in Barcelona right now, the president plays a very very reduced role in player recruitment. If you don't know, ask yo be enlightened, do not show your lack of knowledge in public

It is you who brought up th comparison, so, feel free to call it what you will.

A player who managed to outshine Messi when he had to face him, and you are here shouting Coutinho and Malcolm, somebody showed up the master and you are telling us his subordinates would have done better. I agree, ridiculous comparison.

Let us talk of who was on the pitch and leave out those who could not be found when the battle began.

grin Sister here is what you said meaning you did not even know if Coutinho was injured or not, so did you truly watch the match yourself, people living in glass houses.....

Countinho was injured by Samu's pace perhaps cheesy

i watched the match.

If you go back on this thread, I even made comments on it.

The burden of proof is on he who claims.

Of course, how will I notice Countinho in the match when I did not even hear his name once? All the commentators were shouting was "Chukwueze! The Nigerian..... " Your Coutinho was nowhere on the pitch, he might as well have been injured grin

Let us go with your narrative that he wasn't on the pitch, it will save him the embarrassment that a player he is far ahead of bested him on the pitch, that he was anonymous against Villareal cheesy

Next time, don't come here and make false claims. Try and verify your facts before telling us, now I can safely call bull on everything you have said about Barcelona's interests.

I never made any false claims. Let me ask, did Suarez not miss the match due to an injury? And wasn't Coutinho returning from an injury himself? But of course you can choose to run away from the main topic of ddisxourse and grasp at thin air because you do not even have any point.

By the way here is the whoscored rating at the end of the match, but I believe you didn't watch the game hence you assumed that Chriskel's picture is the final rating, you could have at least checked the time on that his screenshot to know that the match was still on by then na grin

Oh and Cout actually had about three shots that I can remember(or at least two) so if you didn't hear his name when the commentators mentioned that he was the one that took the shot or even when the camera showed his face after taking the shot then you didn't watch the match

Lack of applicable common knowledge.

Relegation zone is not a permanent feature it can be transient. However, if you are in the relegation zone by Christmas and into the new year January.

You are now in big problems and fighting for survival.

So you know relegation zone is transient and you thought it was sensible using it in describing Villarreal as a club in an attempt to make a point that wasn't there to be made.

Not attacking your person but that was not very clever. I know you will continue digging up a hole for yourself on this matter. I trust you.

Sister see what you said here, that he can bench some Barca players meaning he is better than them, I mean you can't bench somebody that is better than you so who started the comparison?

Those players were not on the pitch because they are Barca players, Denis Suarez and Malcom will make the Villarreal team with their eyes closed. I am trying as much as I can to ignore that part containing Messi because it is absolutely ridiculous, how did he outshine Messi who had an assist to boot? I was starting to believe that my memory of the game might be a bit hazy but then please visit this link

https://m.sportskeeda.com/football/barcelona-5-1-villareal-player-ratings

Samu Castillejo: 5/10This was again a game to forget for Castillejo, who has been one of Villarreal's better players this season, barring this fixture. He struggled to cause too many problems and his final passes were poor. He failed to provide any end product as the yellow submarines struggled to score.Rodri: 6/10
Just in case you don't want to open it. If I remember correctly he was okay in the first ten minutes or so then faded badly dropping from a rating of 7 or so to almost 5, how is that him outshining Messi? Even Alena came in, let us not be blinded by useless sentiments please

For ur mind now, Samu Castel is same person as Samu Chuks abi? U no get yarns and u didn't see the match bro. U trying too hard not to be preposterous. U quoting a two year old article to prove a point. Dude, Castelijo now plays for AC Milan. Infact, when that match was played, Chuks was still in Umuahia. Better luck next time

Haba brother.

OK let me make it perfectly clear here that Samu is totally talented, heck I was the one defending him the other day against Komekn, so what is wrong with my attitude towards him?

OK see, Vidal was the backup then, he came in late and managed to score. Back then Barca's bench was totally poor, and luckily for Vidal he could play as a fullback as well as a wing forward so he got minutes, last season even Denis Suarez was always on the bench. But the crux of the matter is that as at now the players that he will have to compete with for a spot are Coutinho, Malcom, Messi, Dembouz, Alena and Denis, the last two for me are better than him (although you can argue that because you probably haven't watched them well enough) with respect to Barca's style of play, so do you really see him making Barcelona's bench or even playing Copa games? So if someone says the truth that means he hates a player? Kai Aboki na, come off that stuff, I used to think it was below you

If you know me on this thread I hardly pull stats from online sites to back up my claim because before I argue I make sure I know enough, it was your constant assumption that Chukwueze was better than Messi in that match that forced my hand, now you have admitted you only watched the first half so why exactly are you arguing?

I already apologised for mistaking Cout and Suarez because both were injured at some point, I also apologised for making a mistake in the first rating I posted, however does that in anyway change the authentic whoscored rating that I posted ma'am? grin

I don't believe the news, but the attitude towards the player is disgusting. I understand that some people have decided that they are not worth a chewing gum wrapper, but to come here and reduce others just so you feel like somebody is in your league, is the height of pettiness.

That said, Barca would have have worse hit by Chukwueze's lightening pace if slow Suarez had played ahead of Coutinho. Chuks pegged back Alba and Coutinho, at a stage, he had Alba, vidal and Coutinho on him just to curb the menace he was causing. Stop arguing what u have no clue about, because it is obvious u didn't see the match, hence the incoherent statements.

He was proven to an extent when he arrived at Chelsea. Dude was a confirmed champions League player and he didn't arrived Stamford bridge on the cheap but still wasn't trusted enough to have decent playing time. The key things with managers and their decisions is trust.

No manager will trust Samu over anyone in Barca. Is this right or wrong well... as fans our jobs aren't on the line. The manager's job is so he is most likely to err on the side of caution and play the trusted players.

If his mother is the family housemaid, I am not anyone's maid. Somebody will just come online and insult his mother and think he is insulting a female. Will that joke have come up if I was a guy? Has he said that about Chriskels, Basco or any other guy that is arguing against your points?

This I totally agree with. Maybe two or three years down the line he may be as good as them, but as at now he isn't, and let us not act as if it is written in stone, Denis was regarded as a better talent during his time at Villareal, went to Barca and went straight to the bench, not as good as required. So he may or may not make it that far, we all pray that he makes it that far but saying he will bench Dembouz, Cout and Malcom this particular season or even the next is so not true. The dynamics while playing for Barca is entirely different. Emphasis is on possession football, he will need to unlearn a lot of things and learn all over again before he can challenge for a starting spot, that is just my entire point. Not that the boy is not or will never be good enough
