Been trading inconsistently for three years. First with EAs(made me good bucks, then blew it), then studied babypips inside out. However, I don't have the focus to trade the market cos I practice medicine full-time, and i'm free only to trade the Asian session which isn't profitable for me.. I love the market and will give a left arm to trade profitably again

My advice for : I think Asian session is very difficult to trade cos of low volume and high slippage, but u can design a mechanical method and get a very cheap secretary (school cert) to follow this mechanical signal strictly based on your own market analysis.

I've found that analysing the weekly chart is good strategy. So I was looking at Gold's weekly, the weekly is trending up; MACD and 100 SMA are trending up. So last week I was looking for buying opportunities in the 1hr and 4hr time frames.

Anyone care to share their techniques?

...if I may chip in my candid advise, I will say the challenge you have for the inconsistency arise mostly from trading lower time frame. Pls take the following steps:

-get a reliable and profitable trading strategy
-focus mainly on higher time frame (minimum H4)
-don't focus on any session or news - follow your data
-know your money management inside-out just like you did on babypips

I use daily tf most times, unless if i can't arrive at a clear point, i move to the weekly tf, after the big tf i move to 1hr tf/4hr tf { just sometimes }nd finally my entry at 15mins tf, my tools, trendline,sup nd res, fibpiv for zones, m.a, 1,2,3 pattern for entry.

I have noticed that certain currency pairs are responsible for the constant draw down of my trading accout. They include some of the most volatile pair :GBP/AUD,GBP/CAD,GBP/NZD,GBP/JPY,EUR/NZD cos when they go against me, it wipes out most of my profit for the week. I think I will have to deleted them permanently
