You may not know it but some of us have been participating and sharing our passion for Nigerian football on this thread for years. Including the guy you just made that nasty reply to.

It's not been up to four days since you started commenting here bro, and already you're telling us what is and what is not allowed here. Do you listen to yourself at all?.

I noticed you've been trying desperately to get our attention and relevance. If that's what you want, you're definitely going about it the wrong way my man.
lol....now you want to start giving me the "we've been here for years line"

I've seen that line here multiple times and it never meant a thing to newbies. Some of us have been here longer than some of you, we just no dey talk.

Anyone who has been here long enough must be used to the occasional derailing of the thread, so, why is there a complaint about it by the people who have been here for years?

Last week, someone mentioned something about jump and pass as regards seeing stuff you're not interested in.

Neither you nor the bros are original members of this thread anyway, so....... And I have seen you post some rude stuff to old members here, so, if someone wants to comment about being rude, no be you bros.

There is a lot of double standard on this thread, I see grin

Oga please go to politics section and discuss your politics. We discuss Football here.

Or better still go create your own thread where you discuss Football with politics.
Quote one place I discussed politics here first, and I will happily take the discussion elsewhere. You are obviously confusing me with someone else.

Our Nigerian football discussions and arguments for the past 12 calendar months culminates in each and every one of us making our opinion count as regards the best players in the Super Eagles shirt for 2018. Voting ends tomorrow. Have your say. Please can we put every other discussion in the back burner for now and promote this voting process. It’s still surprising to me that some of us who came here for football talk have been busy arguing feminism and politics but have failed to vote. We have guests visiting this thread regularly. We all have the collective responsibility of promoting the Super Eagles. Voting is open to all Nairalanders for that matter.

Abeg make una enter this link and do the needful:

So come on guys. It is a very easy process.

Deadline remains tomorrow 18th December, 2018 @ 12noon.

True talk bro.

None of our players are performing really well. The best of them is well....average at best.

I shared same opinion about Musa a while ago yet many here said that since he used football age, he's nearing retirement and as such, he's cashing pit ASAP.

The truth is, for many Naija players, money is their main motivating factor and not passion or desire to be the best. Ndisi, Iwobi, Nacho, success, Balogun, idowu et all are declining and funny thing is they happen to be the fulcrum of our team.

Word it be wrong if I said that our team is full of mediocrity??
Ndidi iwobi declining ? Oh common bro

As for the football age ,Europeans also use football age so it's not a new thing.

Bro, you self look am.

Ndidi only tackles. We expected him to have improved on his passing by now.

Look at Kante. Ndidi no fit adopt Kante as him role model??

From playing in division 2 to being rated one of the best central midfielders in the world. Would it be hard for Ndidi to study the reasons for his meteoric rise?

Okay, the other day, I compared chukwueze to mbappe based on age. I was scolded because Mbappe had his football edu foundation in a country where things work. Okay, in that case, what of Iwobi?? Iwobi no supposed continue to bang goals or assists every other week. And we claim this guy is JJ's heir to the no 10 position.

Iwobi is getting there

Ndidi is great and he is no kante, kante is 27 and ndidi is 21 so the difference is clear ,at ndidi age kante is somewhere in French 2nd division

Ndidi will get there ,he is rated at 40million euros ,he is not rated at that for nothing

Only few defensive midfielders are world class when they where 21,example like busquets ,Fernandinho became world class at 27

Let's us not deceive our self because we think Africa is worst ,mbappe is not a 19 year old kid ,mbappe even looks older than 21 year old ousmane dembele

I only believe the age of most of the English players and some Europeans .

You have similar characteristics with Portuguese and Spanish 2nd tier league and thier B teams.

The treat players like cattle at that level some of them are not even getting up to €3k a month that's shocking.

But are hoping to move on that's why a lot of Nigerian players if they are not getting real first team exposure go to Turkey.

I came across a comment concerning the recent VP debate and funny enough people said he was derailing the thread. This is the problem with Nigeria, apathy towards anything concerning politics. How is a discussion about the future of the nation as a whole not welcomed in a thread that is concerned predominantly with the growth of the super Eagles? Abi development of sports in Nigeria is now under private investors and not government again? When the US held her own elections, virtually every US forum I knew then even the health forums talked so much about the elections that even though I wasn't going to vote I knew who unwanted to win, but here we shy away from all such conversations and we wonder why our nation is falling apart. I applaud Chriskels for bringing up that discussion and with the newxt few months leading up to the election I think we should discuss more about the elections and not shy away from the topic
I understand your point.. Indeed, this thread will soon be filled with some politics talk due to the election... But its advisable we minimize it to some extent...
The way we discuss politics in Nigeria isn't the same as the US.. Nigeria politics is clouded by tribalism and religion sentiments... You saw the reactions to Chriskels post...Nairaland's politics section is already filled with tribal and religious bigots... We don't want that here....
