ITA is sure our CRS score is 472 and it FSW Class. We plan to apply immediately after getting the ITA that’s the reason for my questions.

If the ITA is gotten under CEC with her current circumstances which is most likely, you would be exempt from POF.

Ok, if tonight is abt narrating our ordeals with Lagos then I have one too(lols). I actually considered change of environment too after my first IELTS in Abeokuta.
Na so I registered for the 2nd(BC) in Lagos. Mehn! We managed to start around 11am owing to large crowd of takers. Na so dem start with Writing first o, followed by Reading. Everytin was going smooth until we were abt to start listening, it actually took them abt another1hr+ to arrange the speakers & headphones, then in btw na him some people begin say they wan use toilet. Na him the examiner said no way 'cos actually we running out of time already, this was around 2pm already. Like play like play, na him commotion start o. In fact a guy bragged he would slap the lead examiner(a woman) and rained loads of abuses at her all cos he wasn't allowed to use the toilet. Las las, the woman succumbed o, come see as people begin stand up one by one to use toilet, in fact myself & wifey had to join too(lol). Am talking of abt 500+ of us o! My people, we began the listening part around 3:30pm and I tell u I lost track of nothing less than 10 questions cos at that time, everywhere is completely rowdy. So please, I think it's better if u can find your way outside Lagos will be ok couple with the several reasons sighted earlier.
SkyWalk12:
Yasssss!! I could never have taken my test in Lagos. I was living there at the time and I still travelled to Abeokuta to do it. There was like 3 hours delay but everyone was so relaxed that I didn’t even notice. Imagine 3 hours delay in Lagos test centre!!! Some candidates would have started insulting the invigilators father’s and that will stoke your own fire too. When paper comes, someone canor think straight again.

hi people, for those struggling with ielts, first of all its not your fault, our education system is really bad, the english i was taught in secondary school is definitely not what is been spoken in the outside world.

one very useful tip i can give anyone is to watch a bit more foreign drama movies or series, and not just watch, try to follow the story and understand what each cast or character is saying, get subtitles also, as this will help a great deal with listening as well as some parts of reading.

Another advice is please guys try and simulate a testing environment as much as you can, get a quiet room, a bench and a chair, and also time yourself, try and do these at least twice a week, that way you train ur mind to adapt to the testing conditions quicker, i have been writing PBT and CBT for a long time as an IT person, and i realized practicing questions in a simulated testing environment really does help.

and finally this might sound stupid, but trust me it helps, please read the instructions carefully, i have realized from experience that taking time out to read instructions calms the mind, before u commence any section take 2-3 min to relax ur mind, read the instructions, breathe, trust me when i say those 3 mins u take out to calm urself will save you alot more time than if you just rust rush into the questions from the get go.

A valid job offer under FSW means a job offer obtained with a LMIA.

The rank of priority for the 3 Express Entry programs is: CEC, FSW and FST.

The case OP has already stated that the PA is authorized to work in Canada and with her Canadian education she qualifies for CEC.

Under CEC, she only needs to have obtained the work experience legally.

Proof of funds is only for FSW and FST.

She is working in Canada does not mean she automatically qualifies for CEC neither does it mean she is applying through CEC. You don't know if she is working in a NOC A, B, or C occupation in Canada, neither do you know if she has spent up to a year in that job in Canada. The OP stated that she is the PA, she could be the PA because of her Canadian education while relying on her Nigerian experience.

Canadian education alone does not qualify you for CEC. What qualifies you for CEC is one year of work experience in a qualifying NOC category in Canada. You do not need Canadian education for CEC.

seriously!!! In other words, if the employer does not issue LMIA when employing her it means we have to provide proof of fund?

Yes, if there is no LMIA and you are applying under FSW, you must provide POF because you do not have a qualifying job offer. LMIA also gives you 50 extra points.

If you are applying under CEC (which based on your posts you are not) then you do not have to provide proof of funds. In your case, you have to provide proof of funds. That your wife is working in Canada does not automatically mean she is exempt from POF.

She qualifies for CEC, she has one year Canada work experience unless her work is not is category A or B. She does not need proof of fund, she will definitely be invited to apply under CEC once she qualifies according to express entry order

Just a quick top-up: the ielts test environment (at least in sheraton abuja) is NOT a quiet one. Simulate your test environment with noise eg TV background and crying children. Even if fellow test takers are quiet the ielts examiners just never stop talking.

Good point. I almost failed that day. I had always done my practices with graveyard silence. But on the exam day, I was like, 'what the fvck!'. So noisy. I could barely concentrate with the '30 minutes more! 15 minutes more! 5 minutes more! Get ready to stop!' I almost freaked out. The exam experience is truly a difficult one. It takes some kind of grace and determination to keep your sh!t together.
