Don't you think you are now carrying this hype thing way beyond all sense of rationality.

It's an opinion, it's not a fact.

Can you tell us how much has Real and Barca, add to that PSG, Man City, Liverpool, Juventus, etc, etc, are bidding for this player. Because that is what would be the evidence of the statement " most sought after teen in world football "

Otherwise it's just hype by local journalists.

Come on bruv, consider the statement " WORLD FOOTBALL" This is what you call OVER HYPE after how many games in La Liga.

I am sure you will call me a hater.
Look what I found in the post you quoted
after a poll conducted by online Spanish footballportal, Mundo Deportivo el diario deportivo Online

You are beginning to look desperate ogbeni! Your stomach can't seem to hold in it's junk once you see Samuel Chukwueze.

The darn EPL is allowed to blow Dele Alli and Jamie Vardy out of proportion but La liga isn't

It was clearly stated that this is the result of a poll conducted by the the local media where the young an plays his football. I am sure when conducting the poll they must have included names of other players of similar age and profile as alternative options to be voted for and Samu won the poll. Why can this not simply be acknowledged and left as is?

No. Iheanacho can't go as a ball boy, he won't be able to trap the balls that go out of play na.

Maybe he can go as a cheerleader. Since his mouth is always open, he might well make good use of it. grin

Yes there are many gray areas. Like for example there is one athlete by last name Itsekiri, who competed for Rivers State although the athlete is a PRODUCT of Delta State.

We can’t really make generalizations that Niger-Delta states imported players from other states because even within the Niger-Delta States you would find athletes representing a different state for various reasons. Some may be residents of the other states, some may have been offered the opportunity for various reasons. We will really have to look more closely to make any meaningful conclusion.

However, my position remains, if the NSF was put together to measure the level of sports development per state, fielding resident athletes would be an appropriate thing to do. I’m saying majority of the athletes representing a state should be residents of that state. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a rule, but that idea should be promoted, else we cannot really tell how well a state has invested in sports development based on the number of medals they won.

do4luv14:

there are many of them out there whose state does not pick them, and due to their desire to compete, join/offer to compete for another state

while other are jst like my dad is a riverian, while my mum is a lagosian

if my dad state do not pick, them my mum state will

You people should not worry yourselves. The Super Falcons have already done their best. Let’s just prepare them for preparation sake lol

Danielnino00:

South Africa played two or three friendlies with Sweden before the AWCON but still couldn't win it... the super eagles played friendlies with Argentina and England begptr the world cup but still couldn't go far...
China,Korea,Canada, Belgium, Slovakia and Austria are decent teams in women football. They mayn't be on top but they will provide the super falcons a good test...

Modified: Canada are ranked no.5 South Korea 14th and China 15th.

Let's bring context with specifics.

How did the English press and or world press hype Dele Alli, in the first instance. I really don't see anywhere where Jamie Vardy has been hyped. He is even a late comes to England he is not even considered a regular in the England set up considering his age.

So having all this in mind, tell me where the English press said or any press at ant time past or present said these players are or where " The most wanted teenager in World football " that's the central point of this particular discussion.

So please don't deviate or muddy the waters keep matters in context of the core issue.

My Spanish is very limited but before you quote wouldn't it be wise to have the verbatim translation of the deduction by this Barcelona based media outlet. "Mundo Deportivo" Then make critical comments in support or disagreement as you deem fit.

You are currently talking with supposition from another person comments. That's not wisdom.

My comments are very simple, the deduction given that Chukwueze according to them is " The most sought after teenager in World football "

Just doesn't cut it with me, outstanding player with very good potential but that's OVER HYPE to me and can potentially derail a player.

My point which you fail to grasp because of this prejudice you now wear as a jersey is simple. Other Leagues are allowed to hype their players as much as they want. Its simple marketing

I remember how my 2016 was sour because British Skysports wouldn't let me hear anything except How graceful Vardy is, how is keen sense of placement is (in their words) just-just-just out of this world
Surely I remember Poccetino (I doubt I spelt that well) wanted the world to believe Dele Alli was the next best thing discovered since pizza

Get a grip, this entitlement to your opinion is beginning to infringe on our entitlement to hear sound discourse

I see no wrong in inviting other athletes will to rep them...don’t we see naijas reppin other countries too and it starts this way...my only concern is how they keep and continue to nurture their talents for the future and greater stardom
Danielnino00:

Finally.. another good answer to my question...
Its all about how well each state can pay the athletes.. Where they are from doesn't matter .
That makes sense..

I hope the national youth games isn't done the same way...

Jealousy for what? Is Iheanacho as wealthy or successful as Kylian Mbappe or Lionel Messi or, to bring it closer home, Mikel Obi or Odion Ighalo?. Why should I choose to be jealous of Iheanacho who isn't even considered among the top players in the world?.

I don't know him in person, I've never met him before and i may never meet him till I die. So what will i gain from being jealous of someone whose success or otherwise will have no impact on my life and destiny?.

I'm just saying the truth the way I see it. No sugarcoating, no unnecessary hyping.

Nacho don't need to be wealthy as obi mikel who has been playing football for the past 13 seasons.

But nacho goes home with 70k weekly and he just started his football career,he is just 22 so there is a long way to go.

Odion ighalo only become so wealthy recently on his move to china ,ighalo has been earning peanut in his football career ,watford gave him 30k pounds weekly at best ,but now earning 200k at china

I cannot say you are jealous of iheanacho because I am sure you haven't seen him before or know him in person ,but the way you insult the guy or try to bring him down is out of the world ,is he the first footballer with bad form ?

Common bro you are more than this

Nelly lied about his age but we knew he was lying because there are birth records.

In Nigeria, there are no birth records so people are more likely to get away with it.

No matter how much hate he gets a player I will always love is Kelechi Iheanacho. Now some of us are even claiming that he is of retirement age and should not go to the AFCON just because of a drought. But I guarantee that this will not last long and those words will be eaten. Every striker not named Messi or Ronaldo should be entitled to a drought in peace.
