Allaah The Exalted forbade the wives of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) from remarrying after his death as stated in the verse that reads (what means): {And it is not (conceivable nor lawful) for you to harm the Messenger of Allaah or to marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed, that would be in the sight of Allaah an enormity.} [Quran 33:53] The wisdom behind this decree has been highlighted by the scholars. For instance, Al-Qurtubi may Allaah have mercy upon him wrote in his Tafseer, “Allaah The Exalted forbade marrying the wives of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) after his death and declared them as Mothers of the believers. This is one of the special privileges granted to the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) to preserve his honor and emphasize his high status to the Muslims … . It was also said that the wives of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) were not permitted to remarry after him because they will be his wives in Paradise, as the woman will be the wife of her last husband in Paradise. It was narrated that Huthayfah may Allaah be pleased with him said to his wife, "If you want to be my wife in Paradise, don't marry anyone after my death. A woman will be with her last husband in Paradise."” Since this is Allaah's decree, no one can reject it or be critical of it. |

true2god:But your bible said this; "Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." Matthew 10:37 also "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even their own life--such a person cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26 These indicate that you must love Jesus that you dont see more than you own biological parents. Not only you love Jesus more than them but you must also hate your parents in addition to that. Woooow |

LifestyleTonite:PLEASE EXPLAIN THE FOLLOWING IF ALL HUMANS ARE EQUAL IN GOD'S EYES: Jesus in the Bible ordered this: Numbers 31 vs 17-18 So now, kill all the boys, and kill every woman who has had relations with a man, 18 but spare for yourselves every girl who has never had relations with a man. Judges 21:10-11 10 So the congregation sent 12,000 of their most valiant men and commanded them: “Go and put to the sword those living in Jabesh-gilead, including women and children. 11 This is what you are to do: Completely destroy every male, as well as every female who has had relations with a man.”So the congregation sent 12,000 of their most valiant men and commanded them: “Go and put to the sword those living in Jabesh-gilead, including women and children. Son of Gods slept with daughters of men Gen 6 vs 1-2 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they atook them wives of all which they chose. Don't tell me Jesus was not among the sons of God that came to sleep with the daughters of men! How do you know a girl has not had relations with a man before? Why kill women that are not virgins but spare virgins for themselves? Why can't the men be forgiven? Why kill so much...only to end up killing yourself on a stake/cross? I guess Jesus (in the Bible) was not the same in the New Testament! Jesus Christ, not the same today, yesterday and forever! Jesus Christ did not die for the people of the old Testament but had to die in the new testament. How is God equal in this regard? Its better you guys face your religion and leave our deen for us or just simply mind yourself if you are an atheist. |

Empiree:Got me good? You must be kidding right? Anytime the issue of the shameless prophet is brought up, the next thing Muslims do is to search the Christian scripture to find a moral equivalence to justify the immoral acts if the unholy prophet. You have failed to give any logical reason while your prophet, who married over 5 widows, gave an order that no one must marry his widow. All I hear is that they are mothers of believers. Aisha, the six year old child bride of your prophet is a mother of believers. Safiyya, the 16yr old war captive and a sex slave is a mother of believer. Zainab the wife of Muhammed's adopted son, Zaid ibn Mohammed, who Allah asked Zaid to divorce because Zainab is more suitable for the prophet, is also a mother of believers. Hafsa, who connived with Aisha to lie against Zainab (because of Jealousy) is also a mother of believers. Um Hanni, who gave up her bed for Aisha to keep her marriage to the prophet because she was old, is also a mother of believers. In summary, all Islamic mothers of believers are no role model for womanhood. What am I saying 'sef', was the so-called Arabian prophet a normal role model. |

true2god:We simply tell you that you are a kettle calling pot black. We wouldn't wanna waste our time to explain what you not gonna agree with. Once we found similar moral justification in your literature, we are obliged to use t against you to shut you up. You have failed to give any logical reason while your prophet, who married over 5 widows, gave an order that no one must marry his widow. All I hear is that they are mothers of believers. You keep repeating old story. You think you can help yourself?. Well, dont be offended by my question. Can you marry your dad's widow?. If not, then, no one is allowed to inherit prophets' wives after them. Aisha, the six year old child bride of your prophet is a mother of believers.And?. You are yoruba man and you understood very well when yoruba ppl say "iyawo baba eni iya eni ni" which literally translates to your step mother is inherently your mother. If you can not marry your mother, then, it is taboo to marry your step mother. Simple Safiyya, the 16yr old war captive and a sex slave is a mother of believer.Story story. And your point is....? |

Empiree:Chill bro, chill! Your prophet is both a player and the referee; setting the rules that favors him based on time and circumstances. Take a look at when he wanted to take Aisha as his wife in sahih bukhari 7:62:18 where Abu Bakr, Aisha's dad, objected to his (your prophet) marriage to Aisha based on the fact that they are brothers. Your prophet, being smarter, quickly interjected that they are only brothers in religion (and not blood-related) hence Aisha was lawful for him to marry. Using the above assumption, the prophet's wives, though having the title 'the mother of believers' are only mothers to the believers in religion but not blood-related hence lawful to the sahabas for marriage. If you read quran 33:53, you will understand the genesis of this so-called 'prephetic decree' that protected the honour of your prophet. |

true2god:The Quran verse you cited was order of God not the prophet (saw) "And it is not [conceivable or lawful] for you to harm the Messenger of Allah or to marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed, that would be in the sight of Allah an enormity". Take it or leave it. Every marriage of the Holy Prophet had a specific reason behind it and was meant to support Islam. Wives of Holy Prophet have been called UMMAHAT EL MOMENEEN (Mothers of the people of faith). Due to their level of honor and respect which they earned by marrying with the Holy Prophet, Allah has forbidden them to marry any other person, including Companions of the Holy Prophet and Muslims have been forbidden to marry them after the departure of the Holy Prophet SAW from this world. |

Empiree:Na wa. How can this be from God: Quran 33:54; O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, disperse without seeking to remain for conversation. Indeed, that was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it is not [conceivable or lawful] for you to harm the Messenger of Allah or to marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed, that would be in the sight of Allah an enormity This is the most ridiculous ayah I have ever seen in the Quran. How can a god say this while the prophet could have just warmed his sahabas to go home when it is 10pm at night and not be wandering aimlessly around the premises of the prophet, some even spying on some of his wives to marry as soon as the prophet is gone. (you can get a better context of this ayah in tafsir of ibn kathir). |

Rashduct4luv:Galatians 3: 23-28 23: Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24: So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25: Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. 26: So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27: for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28: There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. |

MariahCarrey:You are swift to quote Paul's Galatians in your defense! 1. who put people under the custody of the law? God right? 2. If Paul is right as you quoted then Jesus is wrong here: "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments."Matthew 19:17 18Which ones?” the man asked. Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness,… |

true2god:Muhammad did not give that order, it was from Allah. The Qur'an is Allah's message and commandment. The order was given cos of an incident; a native ruler visited the prophet and entered his room without Salam or notice, the prophet called his attention on that and he said Salam is for the poor. Aisha RA the prophet's wife was in the room at that time. When the man was done with his discussion, he asked the prophet who she was and the prophet told him she's his wife Aisha. The man went on to say “there's going to be competition to marry her after the prophet's death”. That's what brought about the decree. (People were waiting for his death to marry his wives) PS that's not the only time that man has acted out of ignorance and disrespect for the prophet, he did it to Umar too. |
