please i have questions for people who have had their baby in Houston within the past 2 months.

how long did it take for your child's SSN to arrive?

the hospital told me it will.take 6 weeks for the birth certificate to be ready. was that your experience too or is there a way to fast track it?

Are you trying to apply for a visa or already have one

Raleigh is expensive
1. What hospital are you using, Wakemed, Rex, etc
2. After selecting the hospital look for affiliated doctors on their websites and call them
3. Best to pick hospital close to your residence
4. If you have challenges getting the doctor ask your family to call them from the USA

I wish u all the best.

we applied for renewal through drop box, was called for interview 221g . scheduled appointment ,got there on 5th Dec. 2018 and they were on public holiday. Logged on to our profile saw a new date 14th dec,2018.
went for the interview and was denied as a result of the discount the hospital wrote on the receipt after paying what was on the contract form.( the oyibo exclaimed when he saw that discount) . there were crowd on that day and many refusals.

i will scan both refusal form given and the hospital receipt to the financial officer and ask that a new receipt be giving with an explanation that i paid all my bill and am not owing.

was too busy that i did not write to them before the interview.we will reapply next year as we are not travelling now.

Raleigh (Triangle) area has many good hospital systems. Rex, Wakemed and Duke also nearby. You can research or call and find out which gives you the best rate.

Raleigh is not expensive as a city. Not sure if the out of pocket childbirth costs could be

Good day all the gurus here.

I have a question which is confusing to a friend.

She has a B1/B2 visa which she, her spouse & 2 children got mar h this year. They are yet to travel due to personal reasons.
Now, the wife is few months pregnant & she intends to deliver in the US, but the visa was for vacation. My question goes thus;
1. Is it advisable for her to first visit US, get registered to a hospital then comes back to Nigeria. When the due date approaches she travels again to the US to deliver?
2. Is it necessary to write the US embassy at Nigeria her intention of giving birth in the US even though when she got the visa she wasn't pregnant. Will that suffice to avoid any interrogation at POE?

Also, please advise what is best to do as she intends giving birth in the US despite visa validity running out.

Thanks

If you write the embassy in nigeria as a nigerian with your visa details..am 100% sure your visa will be cancel..but if you are a holder of another country passport and based outside of nigeria then option 2 is safe for you ..currently the usa embassy in nigeria is doing everything possible to limit the number of nigerians giving birth in usa and that why the current unreasonable excuse of discount issued by hospital to denial visa ..
What is b1/b2 visa ..it actual covers medical and tourist visit but as a nigerian the law is been applied differently
So the best option l can give you is go to the usa for holiday And book with a doctor but still be aware that on your second trip you can be allow in or refuse entry depend on the poe you pass amd the mood of the officer that day..i wish you safe journey and safe delivery

In March this year I travelled to US for vacation. At Chicago POE I was denied entry because my supposed host didn't pick up his phone when they tried to call him. Unfortunately I was traveling with a friend whose husband and children are living illegally in the US. Mine visa was cancelled and I was asked to apply for a new visa when I get to Lagos. My friends visa was revoked. We we're put on the next flight to Lagos.
I didn't apply immediately as they suggested. Instead I travelled to UK for my vacation after two weeks because I already have a UK Visa.
Now i am pregnant and I intend to give birth in America. I attended the Visa interview on Monday at the US embassy and this is how it went:
V.O: Gd morning madam
Me: Gd morning sir
V.O: Why do you want to travel to the US
Me: For vacation with my husband and also to deliver my baby
V.O: Does your husband has a visa
Me: Yes
V.O: Where is it
Me: Not here
V.O: What's his name
Me: I told him
(Looks through the system and found it)
V.O: How long are you guys staying
Me: My husband 2wks, I am staying to deliver my baby.
V.O: What happened in March when you travelled to the US.
Me: i explained.
V.O: Can I see you bank statement and any correspondence with the doctor
Me: I passed both to him
He looked through and gave me a white form explaining that my application will go through further administrative process and I will be contacted when they are through.
Please what does this mean. Am I likely to be given the Visa?

For a working class person who does not want to loose most part of her 3 months maternity leave before delivery can you advise;

Please what is the maximum number of weeks of pregnancy can one be allowed to fly out from Lagos to the US.example using Delta Airlines.
Also what is the number of weeks is exceeded and the pregnant lady agrees to sign a consent form of non liability to the airline, will this be accepted?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Supernaturalone: 6:48pm On Dec 19, 2018
What was stated on your visa when it was cancelled? Depending on what was stamped, in extreme cases, they may have to go back to CBP/DHS in USA before the visa can be reissued, since it was cancelled at the POE.Bottom line, they need to investigate further. Sometimes, administrative processing can take up to 6 months IF they need to go back to US authorities.

Suggest you check Delta Airlines website for this. Most airlines is 28 weeks.

Non liability? First off, no airline provides such. So if you go into labour on the flight, what happens?

The stamp reads Voluntary Withdrawal of application from entering the US. I googled it, it means I can apply immediately for a new visa, no ban.

Please Please, write a letter of intent to US embassy before going to give birth in US and print out the US embassy reply, save it and make copies attached with your letter of intent. This letter will be useful for renewal and POE. This Letter was what saved my wife renewal after dropbox was rejected and called for interview

For those Dropbox 221g interview

1. Go with all the hospital receipts
2. Letter of Intent and US Embassy reply

**** If you use insurance, any medicare or aid or pay below or did not pay, or in debts with the hospital please be ready to accept anything ( 50/50) but mostly you will be rejected.

OK, then they'll get back to you., as there appears to be no issue against you pet se. You just need to be a little patient; hopefully won't take too long.
