No we are under the new covenant which is Christ Jesus, and Jesus said in Matthew 5 : 17 that ....... “Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

Tithe or no tithe, in the epistles of Apostle Paul, we are admonished to give generously, not by force but willingly, even more than one tenth of what we have.

Your question 1 and 3 bot got abolished when Paul spoke of how Christian women should dress. If the law against mixed materials and that of keeping tassels were not changed, Paul would have included it in the dress code for Christian women.

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

You question 2 has also been changed. In the past, it was a sin to shave the side of one's hair. But in 1 Corinthians 11 Paul said any woman that doesn't want to cover her head with long hair can have it shaved. He also spoke against men wearing long hair, a thing he called shame. Now, if you refuse to shave your hair as a man, it will grow very long and make you a shame. What's the best thing to do in order not to be seen as a shame? Is it not to shave it?

On a side note, let me tow your line of reasoning... "to a fisherman, fish is money" ... BUT did God include fish as part of the items to be tithed?

God specifically asked for crops and livestock to be tithed.

Please can you show us the exact scripture where God requested for "currency" as part of the items to be tithed? Bear in mind that gold and silver also served as currency when God gave the instruction on tithing.

Can we also confirm that tithing does not apply to Christians too? If the law of tithing still applied to the Christians, don't you think Paul or the Apostles would have instructed the Christians to do so?

Are there scriptural references where Paul or any of the Apostles admonished the Christians on giving that also included tithing?

I'm glad you brought this up. It clearly shows you don't even known what tithing is. Tithing is different from GIVING. When you give someone something, it serves as a gift or an offering. It never belonged to the person, hence you can say you are just giving the person.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him GIVE ; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.



But tithing is not giving but paying. It belongs to God that's why you have to pay it, not give it. That's even why God said the people were ROBBING him when they failed to bring the tithe into his storehouse. If you live in a rented house and you haven't paid your rent in two years, it means you are owing your landlord and robbing him by enjoying his property for free. But when you decide to pay your rent, you can't use the word GIVE because it is not a gift but a debt you PAID.

Notice how Jesus used the word PAY when speaking of tithing.

Also notice how the Pharisee in verse 12 used the word GIVE.

Notice how Jesus slammed him because he was exalting himself thinking he was GIVING it voluntarily without knowing it was required of him because it is a debt. He thought he deserves God's listening hear just because he tithes. He doesn't know that the tithe which he says he gives is actually God's property. You cant say you are giving me a gift when the actual thing is my property. The tithe is the Lord's.

And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.

Ooooh...but I thought you and alBHAGDADI earlier mentioned that Jesus never came to abolish the laws of Moses...

Was Matthew 23 v 23 upholding just tithing or the Mosaic Law?

Are Christians expected to obey the 613 laws of Moses? If your answer is no, then how many of these laws did Jesus support and how many did He oppose?

Why should Abram's once in a lifetime tithe from war spoils serve as a basis for Christians to part with 10% of their monthly income?
