A tanker which exploded in Maryland area of Lagos, reportedly left many dead and caused major gridlock around the axis. 

Guardian reported that the cause of the tanker explosion in Maryland and number of casualties couldn’t be ascertained. The incident which occurred on Odo-Iyaalaro Bridge inward Maryland in Lagos, paralyzed movements around Tipper garage, Ojota-Interchange and Motorways plaza.

However some eyewitnesses told Channels that the tanker which was said to have caught fire, was not laden with fuel. It was also gathered that Firefighters and other security operatives were on ground to control the situation.

Sad. My childhood zone. These tankers should be restricted from being on the road during the day especially in such densed areas.

If na portharcourt ehn, the tanker go burn finish and take them 30days to remove the truck

This is the strategy Boko Haram will use in Lagos, I said this 2 yeas ago but people ignored it, be careful of trailers carrying any type of load, just be very careful, they are in Lagos.they are the ones driving all the trailers in Nigeria.
