Don't mind them. Nigerians are so wicked. The power, the rail, the agriculture, etc are all GEJ programmes which he started and went really far. GEJ only spent one term. The other two years were war for him becus of yaradua's death. Even the one term was serious war for him becus of Boko haram and the kidnapped girls. Just that GEJ was a gentle man and these useless apc members intimidated him. GEJ I hated but had serious programmes. His agricultural minister was the best ever. GEJ did a lot in the power sector which could have been far better if he had continued. Some of GEJ projects started maturing now. It is so sad that this useless party can't swallow their ego. The foundation for power and rail system and our aviation sector were built by GEJ. U see these ones, called APC, they have done nothing.

Hmmmm......the master plan is to add 1000Mw per year.... .met 4000Mw...3 years in office 3000 Mw added...on schedule... I must let the world know. But what I want to know is how many Mw the country needs so I can know if to expect 24/7 power in my lifetime.

Here at command (Alimosho) LGA of Lagos state, power has been poor for the since I moved in.
A day on , a day off
Even on our ON days , we hardly get 6 hours
This is very poor .
Useless lying minister .

For me, nothing changed. Now we even pay so much more even though the marginal difference is minute.

TruthBeTold, this Fashola guy distanced himself from ACTIVE politics for a while, just to focus on solving the age-long power curse. He sure hasn't broken this curse, but he has been doing something right. Power situation has been on the upward trajectory, though slow, its steady.
Same with Ibe-Kachikwu, for the first time we have seen a December where you can drive in to filling station and get fuel, Never seen that.

Moral Lesson: Ministers who must achieve something, regardless of political party in power must stay off the distraction of active politicking.

Maiduguri residents protest against uninterrupted electricity supply
Published December 22, 2018

Residents of Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, said that their 24-hour-electricity supply be cut short immediately.

According to them, the constant power supply has caused a huge increase in charges. They are demanding that the Yola Electricity Distribution Company reduce their electricity supply to the 12-hour daily that used to be the case.

Most residents of the state capital stormed the YEDC office on Wednesday to demand a reduction in electricity.

Reacting to the complaints by the residents, the YEDC Maiduguri Business Manager said, “These complaints may be as a result of the inauguration of the 330kV transmission line which now supplies electricity 24 hours.

“On average, we now supply electricity in the town for a minimum of 22 hours in a day, which simply implies that the consumption of energy by residents in the state have multiplied or even tripled itself.”

Despite the explanation by the official, the residents are still not happy with the situation, demanding less electricity supply.

The fact is that, with all honesty, there is great improvement in power supply across Nigeria but you are right to say the last administration "built all the new power stations in Nigeria," or should we say, started them.

Simple question, is there improvement in power?

In my area, yes!!!

Would I vote for Buhari, I am not sure yet, but what Fashola said yesterday is what I expect during campaign season.

The present government should tell us they they have done with fact.

The opposition should disbute this with there own facts and tell us what and how they intend to do.

This would help Nigerians make informed decisions on who to vote for
