Please everyone, for some time now my eyes usually hurt /pepper me while driving, it's a BMW x5 2006,what could be the cause.

The Car should be upgraded to a BMW X6.


Your peppery eye will stop.

Have your firewall and footwells checked for any gaping holes that allow exhaust fumes to come in. Also, have your exhaust checked for leaks of any sort. The peppery eyes whild driving are most often the result of exhaust fumes coming into the cabin of the car.

I have this issue. Ran a scan only gear slipping and B1S1aging o2 sensor shows up... My exhaust interiors is pitch black....

Still fuel trim issues. More fuel is dumped than expected in combustion chamber. Have the oxygen sensor fixed

I intend cleaning the offending o2 sensor....is that viable?

The heater element is right inside the oxygen sensor

Exhaust gases finding their way into the cabin while driving. Check the rubber seals around all the door edges and boot edges that they are fully contacted and sealing the car when closed. To check if they're fully sealed, close all doors and boot, then douse the door boot edges with lots of water. Allow the water to run off after 2mins check the edges. You may also check the firewall too.

My ltft both banks 12%

I hope you have fixed the problem. Exhaust fumes have CO (Carbon Monoxide) and the effect in a car with wound up windows could be deadly.

If you drive that car long enough in that condition you could actually lose consciousness behind the wheel - with catastrophic results. Don't delay any further if you haven't fixed the problem.
