I'm tired of Lagos. Can anyone suggest a city or town in Nigeria one can move to to start all over again? Or even neighbouring countries?

Has anyone done that? Has anyone moved away from the hustling and buzzling of Lagos and maybe Ogun, to another part of the country where he/she doesn't know anyone to stay with, rent an accommodation, and find something doing to bring in income?

I want a laid-back, cheap, secured and peaceful place.

Come to Dutse, Jigawa State and know the true meaning of peace, tranquility and serenity. Good tarred motorable roads, nice estates, relatively good commerce, cheap affordable local food items, very cheap and enough fruits like watermelon, dates etc. if you love natural diets. You get to breathe in fresh, unpolluted air too.

N. B.

Dutse is not Kano and is quite different from your typical northern states with some elements of civil unrest. No congestion whatsoever, you take less than 5 to 10 minutes to get to your destination depending on the distance.

there's no much difference from Lagos and Ibadan... Except for the companies which are not that plenty in Ib and there are couple of them in Oluyole industrial estate and Dugbe.. And also the locals in Ib city are way too peaceful and calm than Lagos and things are very very cheap in Ib city, and electricity is good in many places. There are couple of clubs.. Many people still don't know what Ajimobi did in that city. The man transformed that city. Buh because many people have never been there since Ajimobi took charge, they thought Ib was still same Ib of yesterday.. With Operation burst everywhere in town, you wouldn't want to mess around so talk security, talk electricity, peace of mind, cheap transportation, cheap food, just name it... Just jobs, that's the only problem buh if you can do buying and selling in Dugbe then congratulations, you found the best place to stay.

Transport, ICT, Education, Manufacturing, real estate, health service, commerce in almost every corner of the major streets in the states with large activities going on in ogbete, kenyetta, timber, gariki, new market, etc

I am a young man in my early 20s,not a Graduate, have an eye for tech, limited funds for now, I want to go into phones accessories business plus maybe taxify.... Accommodation would not be problem for me, cos I have someone to squat with... Currently in delta state (not asaba)

What is your advice sir ( I really don't like Lagos) but nevertheless you can still recommend it....

We'll, id say you should give Enugu a test run first, don't be discouraged by my assumptions (for they're only my opinion) maybe your experience would be different from mine. Since you said you have someone to squat with, why not try squatting for two months, during that period, explore the local markets were phone accessories are sold and find out if business is really going well for them there. I believe that within two months, you'd be able to know you if its the ideal place for you.

like I earlier stated, prices of apartments depends on the part of Enugu. Well, I don't know what they mean by not a commercial city, Enugu as far as I know businesses are booming here.

The best place to live in south west is Akure.
2 bedroom Apartment in Akure ranges between #100 k and #150k.
With a capital of #1.5m you can start a business of buying and selling of cocoa beans. (Cool money)

Don't mind that guy o. House rents are expensive in South East states especially Enugu, Owerri, and surprisingly, Abakaliki. Except you want to live in interior villages, you can never find a self con for 100k in enugu. Just budget from 180k and above for self con in enugu. Even here in abakaliki, there are some self con that go as high as 200k.

My friend Na lie. Maybe Na the ghetto part you dey stay. P&G Dey Ibadan, Rcc construction company Dey there, Yale, Honda, Sumai, leyland and so on. So many companies Dey there. You won’t know unless you ask and it depends on the area you’re staying in Ibadan

I school in Enugu and also know Abakiliki very much
Things like rent, agricultural foods and water is very expensive in Enugu.
Enugu is not meant for someone that want to start up a life. No job opportunities there.
But the state is very very peaceful, neat and light then was very OK.
