Baby lungs develop from 38-39weeks, except it's a case of elective cs,no need to rush baby out.
Nowadays elective cs is even advised from 38 weeks-39 weeks to avoid mum falling into labour.
I agree with your Aunty babies born later on at edd are stronger from experience. The baby may pass apgar test and later develop breathing issues if not managed properly from one week,etc.
If baby should be delivered before term,it's advisable to get a shot to ripen the lungs from your doctor, except it's an emergency,still communicate with your doctor.

@Pearl05 Teamie rest o, don’t lift a finger to do anything. I remember I had preterm contractions at 27 weeks during my first pregnancy due to house chores. I was given medications and placed on bed rest at home. I was alone most of the time.

To all our sisters in waiting for the fruit of the womb, know that no good thing will The Lord withhold from his children, and the day is usually about to break fort after the darkest night. You too will dance your dance and sing your songs of victory.

Rant time.

On 24th I went to hospital because of the severe abdominal pain I was having. Dr. Said it's threatened abortion and contraction and wanted to admit me in the hospital for bed rest but I declined because and alone in the house and it won't be conductive to me at all. So he then gave me injection and prescribed some drugs and asked me to rest well at home and also to return the next day being Christmas fa.

So on Christmas day as people dey busy dey cook rice and frying goat meat and chicken, I no get myself. Vomiting and stooling no let me see road. I went to the hospital and Dr. Insisted to give me drip so I stayed and took it. After 4 hours plus, I went home feeling much better.

Then, this morning am much Better only that my bumbum and jajana is very heavy as if am carrying some load tied in between my legs.

Biko my super mamas what can I do to reduce the bumbum and jajana pressure?

He did ultrasound scan that's all.said that the baby is viable amniotic fluid adequate. Asked abt any color discharge or painful urinating which I said no. So he recommended bed rest and gave some medication and injection.

Right now am not feeling the hardness much and the abdominal pain is almost gone just the bumbum and jajana occasional heaviness . That too I know will go away because He is still God.

Thank you dear. I will continue to rest and speak with my father.

Number one, if your Dr is suggesting bedrest then I think you should adhere to it. I really do.
Secondly, that heaviness you are feeling could be your baby descending which is too early, only a scan can rule it out totally.
On the other hand, it's perfectly normal for you to feel heaviness in the pelvic region. For me, walking makes it better and sitting for a long time makes it hurt more.

Please do a scan and work in hand with your doctor
