Section 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 provides as follows: Every person shall be entitled to assembly freely and associate with other persons, and in particular he may form or belong to any political party, trade union or any association for the protection of his interests.

It is a business gamble, if truly he accepted to be part of the APC committee. Cos if for any reason Buhari's rigging plot flops and Atiku outrigs him, then Dangote can as well forget about all the monopoly government fiscal policies provide.

There's nothing wrong with these Billionaires who were made Billionaires by government policies supporting which ever governments. They have the choice to support who ever they want. It's just that I won't want to do that openly imagine Atiku wins ,he can use policies and reduce them to millionaires...

The same Dangote that was dining with OBJ/Goodluck(all PDP).

Hmmm Dangote and Otedola I think are making a mistake........ For a businessman to be perceived to be partisan is dangerous. Let's assume APC looses don't they think PDP can enact just one policy that can cripple their business. They should go and ask what happened to Adenugu's Glo business in Ghana after he supported the incumbent president that lost the then election.
They should just be wise, best if they are silent supporters

Alhaji Aliko Dangote openly supported PDP in 1999 and 2003 elections. In that period, he personally contributed up to N200m to the PDP presidential campaign committee. He also chattered a Boeing aircraft and donated same to the PDP campaign committee to ease their candidates nationwide campaign tour.

Am I this old or is it that most Nigerians have such a short memory not to remember these things that happened less than 20 years ago?

Why all the fuss now by PDP apologists just because the billionaire has decided to pitch tent with another party this time around?

For a person like Dangote to ditch his hitherto political neutrality to do this, it means he certainly knows something which most Nigerians don't know yet. I feel sorry for Obi.

Who stopped the economy from being decentralized? Show me any of Dangote's products that doesn't have a competitor or competitors?? Is it cement, sugar, spaghetti, flour, etc??
All of Dangote's products have competitors. It's just that when Dangote's competitors invest N10 in a product line, he can invest N100 in the same product line, thus giving his products a comparative advantage. His advantage over his competitors - he has lots of cash & capital such that he can build a private refinery in this country (1st of its kind) & even build refineries in Ethiopia and other foreign countries in Africa.
Or are those countries giving him monopoly too? Which indigenous FMCG company in this country has gone outside to set up investments in other countries

There's nothing any democratic government in this country can do to further decentralize the economy or bring Dangote down.
Infact, when the Ibeju-Lekki refinery commences operations next year, his grip on the economy will move a notch higher UNTIL when someone else can spend more money than him in investing in this country & not siphoning our wealth to foreign/offshore bank accounts.

I could remember some years back when Alhaji Dangote promised to supply all the cements needed to build PDP national Secretariat in Abuja from foundation to the last floor.
Heavens did not collapse for his open support for PDP.
Dangote or Odetola, can't Nigerians do independent analysis of situations and take a decision about who to vote for.
The spirit of "follow-follow" has taken over the control of the lives of so many Nigerians.

There is nothing wonderful or extra ordinary about APC as the ruling party getting Dangote to side with them. APC as a party doesn't play by the rule. The party is desperate and is not in the mode to take excuses from any quarter.

Dangote once said that he will never join politics . And he has a policy never to be on the opposing side to any government in power and has reamined so. The only thing that changed now is that the government got him to go beyond his usual financial support to physically be a part of their campaign team and I am sure if he has option he would very much want to be let out of the turf

When God want to liberate a people he sets the motion that makes it easier for the next man to be able to act with any weight on his chest.

Dangote, the sun has just set for his many years of monopolistic venture

PDP started the wooing of Otedola in Lagos only for APC to beat them at their own game. Whoever knows the number of APC scouting manager should please help me with it. The person is a good signing manager that can help Man United and Chelsea get a better striker than Lukaku and Morata.

APC has a good strategist but they are very wicked when it comes to governance. If only they can be this strategic when it comes to ruling the nation Nigeria would have been better off.

Lesson learnt from this move: Never make your strategies known by your opponent if you want to survive in the game.

The Presidency has now denied that Dangote is a member of the Presidential Campaign team. Dangote never agreed to be on any stupid list. APC just wanted to do propaganda and also add their incompetence to Dangote's business. Dangote as at today is not a card carrying member of any political party.

You probably was to young to know how Obasanjo ran his government after his fallout with Atiku. Obasanjo singlehandedly issued Dangote a GSM licence, for free. The man opened a firm known as Alhejri and later sold that same licence once Obasanjo left office to Etisalat, for over 200,000,0000 dollars

Obasanjo crippled Ibeto businesses that the man even developed Stoke .... In one day, the expatriates working for him were bundled from their port Harcourt office to Lagos and same day asked to leave the country. Ibeto took his case to the NASs and after investigation they discovered the man had not infringes on any law but Obasanjo would have noone of that.

Ibeto cement was refused clearance and stayed on the sea until it all damaged. It was Yaradua that came and restored ibeto businesses a agreed to pay the man compensation for the losses the government unjustifiably inflicted on his business. Dangote went to court to counter the government compensation, which was order by the court . The case is still before eht ecourt

Atiku couldn't have done anything because it seemed back then that Obasanjo had special And personal interest in Dangote business growth ... It was not a matter of advice.
