There are good and bad debts. Good debts are good, bad debts are bad.


Good debt is when you borrow e.g. #1m at 2% interest rate and invest same on treasury bills at #14% interest rate. You make more money for yourself by being a debtor.


Bad debt is when you borrow e.g. #1m, and spend around #600k on rent, the remainder (#400k) on wedding, birthday, etc.

Yes, I am so glad I was able. Really broke this period and was tempted so much to borrow but whenever I remind myself that I want to enter 2019 debt free, I lock up.

But Dangote and Federal Govt are not debt-free. In fact, no state in Nigeria is debt-free.

Yes but they borrow for business or investment, when I want to borrow for those reasons then I will value the borrowing
