Banga soup - get your palm fruit seeds boil pound and strain it. Boil the liquid with the meat of your choice and spices until it thickens. Some people add mint leaves but that’s optional.

For the starch mix cassava starch with water when it has completely dissolved add area spoon of palm oil and stir over heat until you get a very thick jelly like paste.

This original Delta Urhobo/itsekiri delicacy. You'll need the following for fresh chicken and shrimps banga soup
Palm nuts (banga)
Fresh chicken
Banga spices ( the seeds are much better; tarico, rogoje) ask from the local vendors
Benetietie (its dried leaves for banga soup)
Grinded pepper
Seasoning cubes
Onions
Salt
Grated lime rind or fresh lime leaves (optional) it gives it a unique proper urhobo taste wink

Preparations:
Cook the palm nuts with enough water until soft, you can check by pick out one and peel with ur finger when its cooked drain in a seive pour into a mortar or deep bowl, pound and juice the nuts but be mindful not to make it watery.
With the juice in the pot, place on the fire
Wash and steam the chicken with onions, salt and seasoning cube to taste
Wash and Dress the shrimps and keep aside
If the banga spices is not grinded, grind with the onions and keep aside
When the banga juice has boiled to a considerable extent, add the benetietie, pepper, the spices and the onions, add ur chicken, salt, grate a little of lime rind or a few lime leaves and leave to boil more after which you add ur shrimps and seasoning cube to taste, leave to boil for another 10mins and ur banga soup is ready. The banga soup is not usually very thick from the pot, serve in a native pot (Ewéré) and place on the fire to thicken well. (Best serve hot).

For the starch: edible starch and palm oil
Mix the starch with water to give you that creamy consistency ( a little bit lighter than liquid peak milk), get a non-stick pan, put a few drops of the palm oil and place on the fire, pour in your starch mixture and start to stir immediately non stop, as it thickens continue to stir vigorously until you get a solid mixture. You'll know its ready when it turns outs like the one in the pic above. Take out from the pan and place on a serving plate.
Food is ready: Bon appetite!

Lol, Its not as exhausting as preparing vegetable soup, the only slightly difficult part is matching the palm nuts. And the making of the starch is just like making semo or amala.
