You can't refer to America which is a location as "yankee"...its the citizens that can be referred to as "yankees" by non-citizens.

That's not true, there are more black Americans in the U.S. than there are Africans which means there are more black Americans in universities. That story about Nigerians being the most educated is untrue. Some of them have higher degrees but that's it.

When a Nigerian man who has lived in a western country for a long time returns home to marry a stranger, if you observe closely, you'll notice that it is a trend that is common with the uneducated ones (you can be schooled and still be uneducated). Even though these folks have lived in an advanced society for long, they are not refined and classy enough to attract women from their host countries. It is classical case of taking a monkey out of the jungle, but you can not take the jungle out of the monkey (purely proverbial, no pun intended). These men want or perhaps, desire women that subscribe to the patriarchal order of man above the woman, and becoming her saviour.

Of all the educated Nigerians (And largely Africans) that I know of, the ones doing good jobs and that have fully integrated tends to date and marry women from their host country, and of those that prefer to marry within their culture, they marry other immigrants in their host countries. For this men, dating women from their host country eliminate potential risk as being used as a vehicle out of her country, and the partner over dependency on them financially, and by extension, her family as well.
