I know a lot of people on NL do not think or read but there is no rejection of anything or anyone based on this post. He simply said, he is not a card-carrying member of APC and is therefore apolitical. He never said he was rejecting even the appointment.

While Mr Tommey is honoured to have been considered for this appointment, he feels obliged to let the public know that he is not into partisan politics neither is he a card-carrying member of the APC

I can sense your pristine daftness from a mile away.

Every president always dialogues with the controllers of the market. They advise him on economic decisions and he piggy backs information off them. Every single president even in the US.

The Dangotes, Otedolas are part of that retinue and by virtue of their status always choose to remain apolitical.

So if any Billionaire is listed as an adviser on economic policies to the President there are some other stakeholders that might because of this become jittery fearing that they too should align that way. Hence why people like Dangote and whoever this guy is had to clarify that although they will advise the president in the capacity announced, they would have done so even if Sowore was the president. In other words, they are non-partisan. They are not APC members. They will just advise the president.

To be non-partisan just means I DO NOT BELONG TO ANY PARTY. It does not mean he rejected the appointment. Dummy.
