If hitler wasn't ready for WW2, the thoughts of invading Poland would not had come to him.

Poland was going to became a German satellite state to prevent a possible British blockade on the eastern flanks. The polish government rejected this idea and, hitler ordered for its invasion. France and Britain declared war on Germany, once hitler sent troops to Poland.

Again, Hitler wanted to lead Germany into war before he became too old. This to me, showed a high level of readiness on the part of Hitler.

Good argument, but you have also agreed in a way that Hitler wasn't fully ready for the war. He had to invade Poland due to necessity, to prevent blockade of the eastern flanks. So many things had to be rushed...

You can see that the blitzkrieg was so effective in Poland and France, but their effectiveness started waning in the Battle of Britain/Stalingrad.

Hitler was too brash and not so tactical. He was driven by hate to a large extent. A little more subtlety, less aggressive strategy and a tricky alliance with Stalin might have changed the face of that war.

I'm wondering why he invaded Poland if he didn't want war. He knew that a military attack against Poland could result in a war with France and Britain.
