I have a Canadian multiple entry visit visa that wilI be expiring by December this year, same as my passport expiration time. I intend to travel by May to come back by early July.
Can I use the passport like that for the trip being that I still over 7months passport validity or renew my passport before traveling. (Although I don't know the rules concerning Nigerian passport renewal before expiration)

I have successfully created a profile but I have a CRS of 429 compared to 454 when I used the CRS calculator. I observed the 25 point loss was in the area of SKILL TRANSFERABILITY - FOREIGN WORK EXPERIENCE. CRS gave me 50 but I have 25 in my EE profile. I am guessing it may be due to how I filled my educational credentials. Can someone please advise on a way around it, preferably someone with an HND who has successfully created a profile. Thanks.

When creating profile with only HND.

You will pick Three years diploma first and fill your ECA number and click on add to add the second educational qualification as ONE year diploma. Also fill the same ECA number.

With this your profile becomes two or more and your CRS score will be same 454 as your CRS calculator.

You also pick TWO years diploma for your ND.

That was what we did and it was accepted. It was displayed as three years diploma and one year postgraduate diploma in our gcsm notes.

The Analyst will work with whats on your ECA report. We Verified only our HND as three year diploma and one year postgraduate diploma.

WES verified only our HND as there year diploma and one year postgraduate certificate.

BUT with ICES you must verify both your ND and HND to get two or more certificate.

Help what? It would have been appreciated without the haughtiness.

Pleese what was haughty about that response? How many people have you yourself helped with on this thread - whether haughtily or politely given?

Why ask for help if you cannot receive it in any shade? If you were now given a rude answer or heavily shaded through a meme I wonder how you for react. It is well o!

You shouldn't have splashed your question on a public forum if you wanted people minding their businesses.

Someone stepped in to ensure you did not pick up wrong info and all you could do was create a platform to express whatever beef you have boiled up for the person.

If Ifeoma decides she won't be forthcoming on this platform anymore now it's not as if you will come and fill the cretead gap.

All the best in your EE application and may your dreams come true.

PS: you don't need to answer me, all my questions were rhetorical. Just to engender reflection in 'silent readers' who come out of nowhere to spurn efforts of those who are keeping the thread rich.
If you do choose to answer me, I sincerely promise to do my best not to respond.

PS2: Ifeoma77 I don't know about the silent readers or beefers association, but I for one am amazed at how much you give back to this thread. Especially since I can never ever be similarly generous. Abeg, anyday I ask question I take God beg you help me mind my business. Daalu.

You can use it. The minimum passport validity to travel to most countries is 6 months. You can also call IRCC for further details on that.

Hi guys please when getting reference letter from your NYSC PPA, can I use the company’s letter head or I shouldn’t use any letter head at all?

@Ify, pls, keep minding our Business(es), joor ooo. It's only JJC on this thread that woulda utter such irrational statement.

Abeg, does anyone have a contact from EKSU (Ekiti State Uni), to expedite wifey's transcript.

Thanks in advance.

The diversities of our collective experiences enrich the contents of this thread.

@Dreew, my brother -in- law was already down at this period. He that is down need fear no fall. In this context, he wrote and got CIC decision upturned. Whether this will be adopted going forward remain to be seen. All PR hopefuls are not on nairaland . None of us can rightfully claim my case as the first and only successful ICAN based application. In this journey, it is better to eliminate any grey spot that might cause issues in your application. Ifeoma77 is only asking you to be cautious because my experience is totally unique unlike other approved/documented criteria ; This is a wise approach especially if you are about to embark on this journey .

I am aware of a non-nairalander with same ICAN/BSC combo. I will encourage the person to share his experience post approval/rejection.

Why use ICAN when you can go for generally accepted ATS ? Mitigate your risk .

Qlife is now asking to send ITA to an email address together with copy of bio data page. So they no longer asking for medical form. Hopefully we get dates that fall within the submission time frame.

I believe this will work for those of us with NCE and HND?

Thanks

Yes, it will work for both NCE and HND. Both would be verified. My wife who is the PA verified only her HND with WES while I verified only my HND and Bsc.

We are both given two or more.

With wes waec requirements now. I will advice you verify your ND and HND only with ICES if you have not started with your ECA.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen smiley

Please I'm currently creating an EE profile, and I have a question.

My husband hasn't done his credential evaluation, so when filling his part, is it okay to fill the details for his education history, and then saying he doesn't have an ECA when asked about it..... Hope this won't mean that we will be expected to then provide an ECA post ITA.

[I asked because you know the profile can be updated along the way preITA]

Please help. cry
Thanks

@Ifeoma only tried to help, if you have done your research, there won't have been need to post your question..

May God fulfill our Canny dream this 2019.

Please how much did you increase yours to?

Dreew, You really don't need to be abusive with your response. You know what? We are a lovely family here either silent or non silent member. I had to check your profile after reading this your response and discovered you just registered yesterday. There is a lot to learn here on Nairaland and a lot to learn in this Journey. Some of these guys you are responding to rudely have contributed positively to a lot of people on this thread.
Pls calm your nerves down, sit back and you'll discover experience can be a good teacher.

Meanwhile, I'll like a situation in which you'll come here next time and get a favourable response to any issue of concern.

God Bless your Endeavours.

Technically, it means you will not be claiming point - 8 for hubby education. My opinion is that it should be fine to create the profile while you process his ECA as planned.

Seniors in the house may have better advise. wink

It's okay if you're not claiming points for his education. Post-ITA you'd upload only his certificates.

Another route is claim he has no qualifications (since you're not claiming points for the education) and then put it all in personal history.

Thank you so much

So I went ahead to submit and our CRS is at 465,without his ECA.

We will begin a process for his ECA today, seeing as ICES said they'd resume new applications today [from their website].

Please seniors your inputs are needed.

Epp me

You think you can judge but remove the log in your eyes first cos I see the abnormalities of your comment too.

You said I was abusive towards tojud but somehow you failed to see the slight in Ify's comment, "Better pause that muah.."

My point really is, the other lady's advice doesn't have to work for me before I show appreciation towards her. I guess this is painful for some to fully grasp, hence the response I got. For what would it take from Ify to just say...

"The case she's talking about is the only one of its kind we've read about and it follows a long and tortuous process that included an application rejection and appeal.

Read from the link below and decide whether that's a path you want to choose

https://www.nairaland.com/4657743/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/504#72546501 "

Nothing. But she did things her way and I did things my way, yet you all deem it fit to complain. To each his own though.

I understand how it can be difficult for most not to throw in their biases when it comes to Ify. That said and going forward, I won't respond to any hypocritical opinion on here again.
