eph12:they were begging Valencia to push up at some point today. He seemed confused af. Didn't know when to push or fall and was ultimately in no mans land on several occasions. I don't know if it's lack of match fitness or sharpness or he is just completely and totally finished.. Whatever it is, I hope he never starts for us again, especially when Mata is on the pitch |

codedguy1:They've played 4 games in less than 2 weeks. Matic, Pogba, Rashford mainly should be rested while the likes of Perreira and co play. |

patrickmuf:The rules has been changed, A team can register 1 player that already played champions league that season. |

PietroRick: That was not a good call by OGS as neither Mata and Valencia can beat their man 1v1 on the outside and whip in good crosses consistently. Anytime we start those 2 together the right side will be dead. |

PietroRick:Dude still thinks it's Mourinho, he'll get over it, hopefully he does. We need all our players firing before the UCL restarts. |

“The performance was really professional. We were very solid to come here against a club like this, with the fans they've got, and I thought it was excellent, how the boys dealt with it — especially in the second half. "In the first half, we kept them at bay for about 15 minutes but then made some mistakes and the crowd got going again. It's always harder for you then. We never hit the heights that we can do, but still, I felt we were in control, kept plugging away.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“We've had a clean sheet in every single game, apart from set-pieces! When you keep a clean sheet you've always got a chance to win a game because we've got quality going forward. To keep one of them is a bonus and it's great.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“I felt it was time to bring Romelu and Alexis on. It was a great hit by Marcus. Rom did his job as a striker to be following in on the rebound. If you do that, you’ll get five or six goals [that way] every season. "When you see big Rom running towards you as a goalkeeper, I think you're going to move your hands away!” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“You can play with two of them [Rashford and Lukaku], no problem. One can play on the right, or two through the middle. It gives me options.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“The team talk was about game management, especially keeping the crowd quiet. In the first 10-12 minutes we did that really well and kept them at bay but then we made one or two mistakes and the crowd got going. "Suddenly, you’re under pressure and [Christian] Atsu got away down the left a couple of times. Phil [Jones] made a great block and tackle but, again, those were the moments you don’t want to have in front of a crowd at a club like this. But I thought the lads really got into the game again and the fans again were fantastic, as I said before.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“Yeah, of course. It's a squad game, it's a team game and we know everyone's going to play a part. Every single player here is going to have a say in us moving up the table and getting the results and performances that we need. "Today, I thought the ones who started did really well. We were solid and then the strikers made the difference. These games, when you go to these places, when you're getting a bit tired — that's when your character comes out. "That's when your personality and your hunger to win games comes out. Everyone wants to win but you see these players, the character... they needed to win this game.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“It's a long season. As long as you take one game at a time and chalk off those points, you never know where you'll end up. “It [winning his opening four games like Sir Matt Busby] will be in the books but it’s nothing I’m thinking about. I’m thinking about the next game. "If we win four, we can win another four. At this club, that’s the challenge and that’s the standard we’re known for. It’s about meeting challenges and when we’ve won four, we can go on to the next four and think about them.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“We've got the FA Cup on Saturday morning, 12:30 kick-off. But then we'll go to Dubai and work on a bit of fitness. Of course, it's a good time now. You need that fitness work because towards the end of March and April we'll need legs and I think we've got them.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“I’ve had that [fan support] ever since my first second at this club. I scored after six minutes and, since then, they’ve been shouting my name. "It’s one of those things. You never ever forget it and it’s so humbling but it’s a fantastic experience of course, to be here and hear those songs. It’s important you celebrate these wins along the way. You’ve got to enjoy the journey, not just the end product. "Every time you win a game, it’s time to celebrate and to pat yourself on the back. Tomorrow morning, you get up and out of bed ready for the next game. I've been here after the 5-0 defeat (in 1996) and luckily today they can go home happily. It was fantastic.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

"It's totally different [having Ole as a Coach]. I think Marcus, Anthony and I are learning a lot from him - especially from the offensive Side. "He's just trying to make us better and to win Games. So far so good but we need to keep going." - Romelu Lukaku |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 3:54am On Jan 03, 2019 |
"You have to be ready - that's what Manager asked of me before the Game. I just felt I had to help the Team, I'm just delighted we won and we have to keep going. " I knew his [Marcus's] shooting Technique, that he would dip it and the Goalkeeper might fumble it like he did in the first Half and I was ready to gamble - you should always be there." - Romelu Lukaku |

I think Martial needs his fb to support him in attack. While he's trying to get the ball in field, he should have someone distracting the defenders by running down the line. Most of his options yesterday was to bass the ball backwards |

codedguy1:The sweetest thing about this game was that even when the game was at the final part, the substitution was NOT Fellaini. |

nyabinghi:None of those guys is turning 34 this year. He was already showing signs before he got injured. I really don’t know why you guys want to be hanging on to this overaged full backs that now offer little going forward. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 6:45am On Jan 03, 2019 |
nyabinghi:Which kain logic be this? Attributing a clean sheet to a full back who plays on one end of the defence, not even a CB or a GK. Bros, correlation does not imply causation. |

afrodoc2:yea.. the 2 of them must never start together, at the very least. All Mata was interested in the whole game was cutting in and switching play. It was frustrating to watch |

patrickmuf:we have more than enough cover at RB tbh. Young, Dalot and Darmian are all currently better alternatives. Darmian has impressed me everytime I've seen him this season. He is going to be a decent player for the club in Italy that signs him |

Oasis007:with Lukakus goal contributions becoming harder and harder to brush aside, this may be the way forward in the coming games. One of he or Rashford can be peeling wide while the other remains in the middle from time to time too |
