2 instalments? Lucky you. We got paid yearly. Infact the last tranche was paid while we were serving.

They paid us first installment mid- 2017 (final year) and second installment mid-2018(during service), they are not exactly famous for their promptness in my school.

Btw who knows what happened to their overseas undergraduate scheme? I Knew a few recipients that time.

I think they pay tuition fees themselves, and pay you the stipend and other allowances in two installments.
I.e if your monthly stipend as an MSC scholar is £1,150 per month, they Will give you £6,900 first payment to cover first 6 months and the so also the next payment.Though a current scholar told me this, I stand to be corrected.

I was also an undergraduate beneficiary , our school they paid us roughly 1 million in two installments but no laptops.

however, they robbed us of the following :

our final year benefit (230k) ...plus 50k for our project ( Total of 280k)

our scholarship awards reads that the award takes effect from 2nd till final year ( 5 yrs course, Engineering) ....so we were supposed to be paid 4 times ...


imaging that embezzled 280k , multiplied by the total number of beneficiaries .....that's very huge.

Their local scholarship for undergraduate seems to lack organization and proper management.

Your last statement was on point. Even in our school , there was slight discrepancies in our payment...I was the closest to 1 million, they paid me 987k, while a friend in my department got 963k, someone else was paid 936k . And I still don't have an award letter

From all indications OSS is more organized and efficient.

SUMMARY ON 2019 BSC, MSC AND PHD CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP

a. There are five different types of Chinese Government scholarship that you can apply for. The CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP- UNIVERSITY PROGRAMME offers full scholarship. b. You can apply to the five scholarships above if you have the capital and time, But quality matters. At least, try and apply for only one scholarship scheme and in one school especially the CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP- UNIVERSITY PROGRAMME if you don’t have much money. I know someone who only applied to one university through CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP- UNIVERSITY PROGRAMME and won and I know another person that apply to all the 5 different scholarship schemes and still did not win.

c. Chinese universities accept HND with PGD, HND only, BSC for Masters and MSc (minimum MPhil grade) for PhD scholarship. However, each university has different requirements as the entry requirements varies. Great opportunity to gain overseas scholarship as most criteria nowadays are high

Can the ENGINEERING DESIGN PROGRAM, sponsored by PTDF way back in 2008, be presented as an award/prize, during the interview session?somebody should help on this, am curious, wants to know!
