Hello @ all,
please I'm about purchasing a 2002/2003 Honda odessey. is it a problematic vehicle cos I'm just sceptical about the price as they are quite cheap compared to its competitor Sienna

Take good care of the gearbox and don't damage the sliding door, may cost you an arm and leg to replace both.

IACV is stuck open, or butterfly valve stuck.

Easy fix, it's not a motorised throttle body, any mechanic with small sense will be able to fix it.

You guys are really doing a great job here.

Please my Acura MDX throttle just won't raise beyond 2000rpm after the first time and I noticed the ATF/Temp indicator light flashing when I try rasing it beyond the 2000rpm mark. This makes it loose power and have to gradually accelerate to avoid going beyond the 2000rpm mark.

I was managing the car after the first time my mechanic worked on it and everything seems normal again but suddenly it started again but this time with a jerking sound when I try to accelerate quickly.

I also noticed that it drains battery when parked for more than 2 to 3 days but no issue when I use the car at least daily.

What could be the problem? My mechanic seems not to know which sensor is faulty, he just kept saying is electrical.

Thanks so much for the anticipated assistance.

What year is your MDX & what work did your mechanic do?

As for the battery drain after 2 days.. I don't think its an issue, a family friend has the same experience with his 05 MDX

My MDX is also 05/06, at first the mechanic said he scanned and replace a sensor, but now the issue has started again and this time around worse than before.

Good Morning House. Please I noticed my Honda Civic 2002's radiator is leaking. It doesn't retain water at all. What could be the problem?

If I have to change it, how much do you think it would cost?

When you say you notice it leaking, did you spot the exact spot it leaks out from or do you park for a while and then see water that leaked out on the floor in front of your car?

If you see the spot then take it to have the radiator mended. If the damage is severe you should change the radiator.

But if you didn’t/don’t see where the water in your radiator leaks out from then it’s a very big problem.

Thank you very much. My mechanic found out the fault. It was the water pump that was bad. I fixed a new one and it is no longer leaking.

Good Afternoon Guys, please this morning when I started my car, the check engine sign came on.

I checked all the fluids and nothing seems to be wrong. I just did a general car servicing last week. Please what could be the problem?

Just to add, the Rewire guy had to fix my right trafficator bulb that wasn't showing on the dashboard yesterday and he removed the dashboard. Could he have tampered with something?

It seems like you are leaving some parts of the issue out.

After the D light starts blinking do you park and restart and it keeps blinking immediately? Has it been blinking continuously since it started?

Have you changed the fluid before? When last did you check there?

When it first started out, I was close to an Oando filling station and was able to park immediately but upon restarting the car, the light kept blinking.

I was able to eventually get to a Kazeem, who said we should service the gear, which we did. Turns out he used the former ATF Z1, which Honda had discontinued, which I only got to know of after some research. I am very sure the Z1 fluid should be fake considering the time span between when Honda discontinued it and now. Before I got to my house, it started blinking again.

Since then [over two weeks now], I did not use the car at all. But surprisingly, this morning, I took the car from Berger to Yaba and it did not blink at all, though still sluggish and nowhere near as zippy as it was before cry.

Well if I’m to throw parts I’d do a solenoid and gear switch change one by one and see if there’s any improvement. Then change the fluid.

Even if it won’t work you can drain and keep the other parts for later use if you still plan to use the car.

Scan first

I must first of all, commend everybody on this thread. I have a 1998 Honda Civic. When I start the car, the AC won't come on until I drive for like 4 minutes when the engine is a bit hot then it will start working. The AC technician said he doesn't know what the problem is. Can anyone help out?
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by livewithpurpose: 8:26pm On Jan 15, 2019
Good Evening everyone. Please my Honda Civic wasn't starting, the mechanic fixed a new fuel pump and filter, serviced the injector and it was working fine. But I noticed after a while and when I put the AC on, it drags. I also can't accelerate past 2000 RPM. Please what could be the problem?

I've attached a photo of the diagnostic report I did two weeks ago.

Fix the throttle position sensor issue and you should be fine. Tell your mecho to check it on the throttle body aka injector mouth
