It would be a heck of a shock but the Manchester Evening News have quoted a report suggesting former Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho could move to Manchester United this month.

The Barcelona and Brazil man has started only nine league games this season, and according to the report is unsettled at the Nou Camp.

I honestly won't mind the pairing of Lindelof and Darmian as CBs. Both are good on the Ball, and Darmian is cool-headed, tall and good at tackling.

Also, I hope Chong is giving more Chances, he's ready for the first Team, his hunger to be involved was apparent in the last Match. But the most ready among the young Guns is Gomez.

You'll have to agree some of their star players are in Dubai with the first team.

Those u23 boys are not very good.
It says a lot when you have more people in the u18s closer to first team debuts.
Their manager is also a problematic one.

Sbragia looks very clueless, and he is actually even more clueless than he looks.

PLUS the u23 team does not have very good players.
Our best players outside the 1st team are the 4 in Dubai and they are aged 19,18,17,17.
Practically everybody between 20 and 23 in that reserve team (including Poole) is mediocre.

The club doesn't seem to care about the reserve team too.
All their focus is on the lower age grades.
Nicky Butt who is head of the entire set up said some years ago, when they were revamping the entire academy, that he believed that anyone who wasn't ready for the 1st team at 22/23 had little or no chance of making it at united.
That reserve football was pointless or something like that.
And it's showing.

All the other age grades anytime I hear of them, do excellently.

My guess is that the truly exceptional ones in the u18 squad will largely bypass the reserve team by going on loan or just jumping to the 1st team

Chong and Gomes were only just promoted and it already doesn't look like they will be spending time there

You do have a point though and I agree with you. The club needs restructuring, right from the foundation.
