Well, Goodluck to inter. Stop gaps don't come any better than this. With inter Milan having FFP issues, this very likely means Skriniar is off. Skiriniar is my personal 2nd choice after Koulibaly.

Lana1:lol, in fairness.. Darmian has hardly put a foot wrong this season, regardless of where he has been deployed. I am 10 times more comfortable with him being a part of a back 3 still, but show the guy some love |

PietroRick:Darmian has been okay OGS. Howev he put a couple of feet wrong in his last game. Nothing catastrophic though, but still, he doesn’t have my complete trust. Not even 80% of it. We need to see him more before I can term him a proper backup. |

MRTA7:Apart from Lindelof who is still relatively new and Shaw that is still young i won’t miss any of their defenders. All of them (including the 2 mentioned above) are significantly flawed. Darmian can be a squad player until the squad is strengthened. Even though he is mediocre he is versatile and usually not injured. |

BlueAngel444:Jorginho, Pedro, Mikel, Robben, Batshuayi, Malouda, Willian, Cech, etc are all players that Chelsea hijacked from other clubs. Some were even done deals.......but ok! |

PietroRick:But United no be back 3 kind of team and i dont think going forward, it's a formation we will be seeing often. He is obviously not an option for any of the full back positions and if we are to consider him for CB roles, then one between him and Smalling should leave coz they are both 29 and both have very little to offer anyways as they are both shïte tbh. |

”Of course, everyone says we’ve won the last five games but [they have] not been [against] big opposition. But you can only beat the teams you play and, for us to get tested and go to the next level, you need those games. And if you want to win the FA Cup, you have to beat everybody. “Maybe one of the best FA Cup memories was against Arsenal at Villa Park when Peter [Schmeichel] saved that penalty towards the end and Giggsy’s dribble [for the winner]. “If they’d have beaten us, if Peter hadn’t saved the penalty, I think they probably would have gone on to win the Double and pipped us to the league. So I think that save of Peter’s was the catalyst for the Treble. “It’s a typically nice draw, just when you want a nice little home game! But if you want to get to the final or win these competitions, you’ve got to play and beat [the best teams] and we’ll look forward to going down there.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“Marcos [Rojo] has gone back home because his injury is taking a bit longer than we thought> “Fred['s partner] is expecting a baby and Paul [Pogba] has had his knock and has had a few days of treatment back home. “Hopefully, we can get Paul on his feet during this week.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

"“He [Darmian] is the biggest plus ]against Reading]. Matteo looked like he had played there before for a long time. “As an Italian, he’s very cultural and very calm on the ball. He was one of the few that at times tried to settle us down and pass the ball. I don’t think he put a foot wrong.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |

“Really good [working with OGS]. When I spoke to Ole we talked about what we can try to achieve in a short space of time and it’s gone better than we probably expected but also we have to say that the players have bought into things really, really well. "There’s a freshness about them, they’re listening and trying to take things on board and I think you can see that in the performances and results. We’re not there yet, there are still things we want to work on, but this is a great thing coming out to Dubai where we can have three or four days away from everything to concentrate on the job in hand and I think it’s working. It’s a good atmosphere.” - Mike Phelan |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 5:43pm On Jan 08, 2019 |
“Everyone sees Ole as someone from yesteryear when he was that young, fresh-faced player but he’s matured a lot. He’s loved being a football manager and it doesn’t matter where you go as a manager or where you are in the world, you still have to manage. "He’s come into this and of course it’s a bigger deal, but he’s taking everything in his stride. He has his own ideas and his own way of thinking and because we’ve got myself, Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna, it all blends really well. They play a big part as well, Michael and Kieran.” - Mike Phelan |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 5:44pm On Jan 08, 2019 |
“I’m sure we’re going to see a lot of things we didn’t realise Ole had and that’s important as a manager. You have to get your point across, it’s not all a bed of roses, there will be ups and downs but I think everyone appreciates that. "The players have to understand that at the end of the day he’s going to pick the team and he’s working for a massive football club and he’ll make decisions when he needs to.” - Mike Phelan |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 5:54pm On Jan 08, 2019 |
“Yes, Sir Alex came in [to training] and I think that was important. Ole isn’t afraid to take on board things from him – it’s a privilege to have someone like that around. "I’ve worked with him very closely and he’s always been there for coaches like myself and for Ole and a lot of others. I think it was refreshing for Sir Alex too, he had a smile on his a face and wanting to get that energy and football brain ticking over again. It was really good.” - Mike Phelan |

Manchester City’s class of 2019 present Burton Albion with a tougher test than a Manchester United side which included Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo did, says Nigel Clough.Do you agree with him?? |

Transfer Update Kalidou Koulibaly remains a target for Manchester United, according to France Football. The Napoli centre-back has attracted interest from a host of clubs but United are determined to fight off stiff competition and land the Senegal international. Although United are not expected to have a busy window this month, the club’s hierarchy would be willing to spend big on the 27-year-old. |
