As the general election draw nearer more tension is being raised as to which party will win. Alhaji Muhammadu Sakaba, of Kebbi state has defected from the opposition party PDP to the ruling party, APC.

Sakaba who was until his defection the secretary of the Kebbi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party defected to the All Progressives Congress along with his supporters.

Sakaba, who was received by Gov. Atiku Bagudu, announced his defection in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday. According to the former secretary, defected to the All Progressive Congress because he believe in the ability of president Buhari to make the country better.

“I have now defected from PDP to APC due to my belief on the ability of President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Atiku Bagudu.

“They have demonstrated commitments to the progress of the nation and our state respectively within the four years of their leadership.
