Nobody's deceiving nobody!!
Technically it's a 12MP lens.
Its like 48MP loseless compression quality to 12 MP. Better image at 12MP with quality of 48MP.

It uses 48 million physical pixels when taking pictures, then the sensor uses Samsung’s Tetra cell technology that merges four pixels to work as one large 1.6µm pixel. This greatly increases light sensitivity and makes the resulting 12MP image much brighter and clearer.

Still it's a 48mp Hardware physical camera

Stories, Why call it 48MP in the first place...
Just say 12MP with 1.6µm

More like Ultra pixels.. for the sake of more light
HTC didn't call their 4MP 2µm, 20MP

Truth is that it cannot compete with the current flagship with 1.4µm

Ultra pixel 2013, Tetra Cells 2019 grin

Samsung and Sony who manufactured the sensors called it 48MP not Xiaomi.

After the success of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6, Chinese mobile giant have announced the release of the Redmi Note 7. It's worth pointing out that the Redmi Note 7 is the first smartphone launched by the Chinese company soon after announcing brand split where Redmi will operate as an independent brand.

The move is likely inspired by Oppo's Realme brand which has been working independently since the first Realme 1 smartphone launch in India. With the all-new 'Redmi by Xiaomi' branding, the Redmi Note 7 brings gradient colours which look classy and definitely can turn heads with its design language

The Redmi Note 7 comes with watertight seals which is something not seen on phones in this price range.

However, this doesn't mean that the Redmi Note 7 is a waterproof phone, but the protection may save the phone from accidental spills.
The Redmi Note 7 will be the company's first Redmi series smartphone to ship with USB Type-C port. Additionally, the smartphone supports Quick Charge 4.0 for fast charging.

Although there are controversies about a Snapdragon 660 device supporting a 48MP camera as a few pundits believe that the maximum MP a snapdragon 660 device can have is 24MP. Whatever part of the divide you belong, you will believe and accept that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is a great device

Where is this assertion coming from?
I have never experienced any issues with my WhatsApp. Like someone rightly pointed out, it could be exclusive to devices running on pie coz right here on Oreo I haven't seen that WhatsApp bug.

It's actually an innovation.
And mind you it's 'almighty' Samsung's technology not Xiaomi's.

Some people don't research, I won't blame them though. But if they see this same sensor on the S10 or the A series or any other flagship it becomes something great in there eyes.

If one orders an item on Aliexpress and chooses free shipping, will they at least notify when the item is shipped out and when it enters the county or it will just be a total black out?
It doesn't make sense paying for shipping fee for small items when d shipping fee might even be as much as d cost of the item..
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Yohh: 7:05am On Jan 14, 2019
I saw a negative comment about d camera quality of RN5.
Someone should give a review on d camera pls.

One would think the wisest thing to do if you think MIUI is full of bugs, is to sell the phone and go for another brand that will give you peace of mind. The incessant need for "grown ups" to come and start throwing their toys out of their prams re the brand is laughable.

The worst even is most of them don't own a xiaomi device but they can confidently tell you all the bugs on miui most of which are not existent.

Like someone earlier said xiaomi can't handle heavy WhatsApp platform. Like seriously guyz??

Please people should do more research before offering their opinions to avoid misleading people.

Guys it's not enough to say don't get a phone, at least tell us why and share what experiences you might have had to enable us make an informed decision.

Still waiting on @Anney272 to come and tell us why the honor play is a bad idea. I watched a lot of review videos and no one said anything bad about the phone.

Okay guys. 1st issue is the camera, it's the worst one in any huawei device. Secondly, the device heats up, even tho it's metallic, the heat no be here. Thirdly the speakers are loud but you'll know the sound quality isn't there. There's a slight distortion in it. If you're cool with what I've stated, then you can get the device. If not, abort please, i beg of you!

Thank you so much for articulating your concerns. I read that the phone gets warm on medium to heavy usage which was a concern but I felt maybe updates would solve that issue. Anyway I'd have to reconsider then, was thinking of honor 8x but felt this was better. Want to give xiaomi a break as I have used 4 xiaomi phones and needed a new one.

Which huwaei would you suggest then?

Lol nah, it only feels that way coz a couple of people have had whatsapp issues(since they said we should not call it bugs) on this thread or maybe coz it's a common issue in mi forums and YouTube. Still can't generalize tho.
