I was actually considering UI, UNN and OAU.
Sorry to ask, but do you have an idea about the admission process(es) of NDU, UNIPORT and UNICAL?
I've never really considered BUK, plus I've never really hit the 300 benchmark before - around 280 - 290 - but I will now. Thank you so much.

Unical is crap!! Check ABU too. Though quite competitive but admission process is fair and the medical school is outstanding.

If any school parade a cut off like 290 and above or 80/100 and above . that is a scam. The truth is DT the no of stds that naturally merit d cutoff are very few like 30, should they want to admit 100 or like 50 should they v capacity for 150 stds.they will stil use leg etc for a reasonable large no of ppl.Anyway, relatively, ui, is d best. They will publish like 80candidate on merit list . in d long run u will b like 180 in a class

Transparency, I can't tell oh. But I doubt that UNN will be very fair.
But with a very good jamb score (at least 300) you should get a any of these schools.

Your target jamb score should be 320 if you really want to be confident about getting admission in medicine in these schools.
Where are you from

Because if u are non igbo the greater your chance in unn

UNN is very competitive that's why... its not about transparency, its not the problem.
It's definitely about bias.
Check the most chosen school in jamb, you won't find unn in 1st 3. That's a typical problem there, but they'll start wailing when ui or Unilag deny dem admission.
This people are very intolerant to others but come to Lagos and kano and see them forming landlord...
Check and compare the ratio of Igbo students in Unilag and Abu to Yoruba or hausa/Fulani students in unn and be the judge.

If it's not for the security challenges in borno, i would have told you to apply in UNIMAID. There medical school is top notch and one can easily get into it giving you have the requirements.

Not withstanding, the security challenges are only in the outskirts. The school is good and pretty fast

Bro let me just tell you the trick that worked for me and my friend.
Do you know that 280 will get u medsurg in unimaid on merit?
If you still don't want to take chances, pick unimaid as first choice then pick any state that is among ELDS in ur geopolitical zone as state of origin. Hit 270+ in jamb and voom..... U will see urself in unimaid admission list. My friend from Enugu got pharmacy at unimaid last year with just 251. He choosed unimaid cos he is tired of how competitive all federal schools in South is and none of them can even give him common anatomy with 250+. So he took a bold step and picked unimaid. His name came out in the last bath and they still gave him pharmacy.

Hey guy. Have you take time to check applicants choosing different courses? If you don't know, UNN college of medicine is the highest. In 2016, more than 11,000 picked unn medsurg, 7000+ nursing, like wise other medical courses in unn. Schools in South West were only having 7000+ for medsurg.
So that unn isn't among top 5 highest when it comes to overall applicants doesn't mean that it's medical courses are less with applicants.

Hi. Final year student,Mbbs, Afe. Afe babalola university is awesome for medicine. You do your preclinicals at Abuad and clinicals at a federal hospital. Minimal distractions, lecturers actually teach, and you understand well. No surprise that we have been winning intermedical school competitions back to back. Downside. Expensive.

You tried to sound reasonable but you ended up advertising your Ignorance, UNN ELDS( educationally less developed states) cut off mark is usually lower than that of Catchment, Hausas/Yourbas usually don't apply for UNN that's why their population is almost negligible

next time get your facts right before you come online to give people a dose of your Ignorance
