Just rebooth the damn phone ....at some point during the rebooting process the damn call will drop.

You tap on the 'End' key .
Okay, if you can't do this, you tell the caller to after saying something like " Can we have this conversion some other time?" or anything - just make it clear to them that you're not into the convo. They should reason, if not, you already know what to do.
I'm sure that didn't 'sound' rude.

Start muffling your speech, when he couldn't hear you clearly, tell him that network is bad, to call him later.
