Which engine oil will you recommend for Honda Civic 2007? I bought it from a female owner and she doesn't know which oil is currently being used.

Thanks.

Thank you. What If I also want to replace both oxygen sensors?

Check both circuit integrity. Test both o2 sensors if they still work perfectly well

I think it is using a 5w20 oil. It is best you refer to the user manual, though.

You can download one here: http://owners.honda.com/vehicles/information/2007/Civic-Sedan/manuals

Meanwhile, speak to Gazzuzz and/or Luvinhubby to purchase the original oil. Happy New Year.

No. 2 should be of most concern, could be a bad spark plugs, nozzle or engine issue.

1 & 3 are sensors, oxygen sensor and temperature switch.

If the car history from previous owner says 5W-20, he can continue with it, if in doubt, 5W-30 should be used.

Looks like a misfire. You can run a scan to confirm the codes. Check spark plugs, coils, fuel pressure.

Mobil, MRS, Total, Castrol, Forte oil. if it's 5w40 you see no qualms tell the attendant you want full synthetic blend of oil.

I just noticed from my owners manual that the manufacturer advised against using ATF as power steering oil. This is contrary to the practice of many people I know. Could this be the sole reason why Honda power steering pumps fail more compared to other makes. Please does anyone know of any power steering fluid recommended for Honda

Hi Sir,

Honda recommends 5W-20 for your car. However, you may want to consider more viscous blends (5W-30 Synthetic, 0W-40 Synthetic or 20W-50 Mineral) if your engine is not in pristine condition.

If synthetic oil was routinely used all along, continue with it. If mineral oil had been in use, continue with it, but change it earlier (say every three months).

Cheers!
