Mamas Please I need your opinion on this
My 5 weeks old son groans whenever he wants to poo or fart, even if he's sleeping, he starts groaning until he poo/fart, then continues sleeping. I hate to see him struggling with so much discomfort just to poo/fart most times and I don't know if its normal.
Also, I've been hearing that Exclusively Breast Fed babies don't poo for days but mine poos all the time, like three to four times a day. He's adding weight quite alright and eats a lot too, but I didn't expect the frequent poo and wonder if its normal.
It's a stage that 90%of newborn pass through. He will soon outgrown it.

Your baby is okay, Body system differs. My little niece poo everyday too, like 3-4 times. Not always much at a go unlike the babies that poo every 5 days, theirs is explosive.

You can only worry if it's green with mucus.

1. Seach colic on this thread for advice. It's been discussed extensively
2. So far the poo has egusi consistency he's fine

Is this something that happens generally? My baby just started school on Monday and she has come back with two scratches. I called the proprietress just this evening and she said let her ask the teacher. She later called back and said the teacher said she is scratching herself with her nails. I KNOW I trim my baby's nails every weekend as she is one to pinch you at any time so I checked her nails and they were well trimmed. Called the proprietress back and told her I will not accept my baby coming back home with any more scratches. She apologised and said she would personally check the nails of all the babies in reception class tomorrow so now I hope she follows through.

@Liftedhands...happy birthday. More grace to you. Would be need that any mbaise soon so make I go dey save money.

So your baby has started school already grin. What do they teach in reception tho?
Anyways i have said my own and i hope it doesnt happen again.
How body na wink

Body dey o. 30weeks today feeling like an elephant.

For the reception class, they teach sounds, shapes and how to draw dashes, strokes and curves. She comes home with assignments everyday and its a struggle to get her to hold the pencil and write her dashes, strokes and curves, lol

Thank you mama, I've gotten him infacol. I hope it will at least reduce it
For the poo, it was egusi-like, until two days ago it became plain, still yellowish but no longer seedy like egusi, hope we are safe o

Also, I noticed something like dandruff at the center of his head, it made that area kinda rough, I've been applying coconut oil and brushing it, and I just want to confirm if its the cradle cap I do hear about or if its something that requires me to take him to the hospital.
FTM, so pls forgive my plenty questions and ignorance.

Plz here I am again, my baby cries a lot at creche and i am sooooo worried about it but people kept saying she will soon be used to it but I swear I am not comfortable..... Plz is there anything I can do to help her calm down. She even had temp today due to excessive crying and she is not as chubby as she was again but I really have to work. I can't stay without working. Help me mamas for God sake, what can I do? cry cry

This phase will soon pass my baby started creche exactly 3 months cause I needed to resume work he cried for like 2 weeks I was disturbed but now he gets to creche and just blends with everything I go to pick him and he is all playing smiling and laughing ensure you pack enough food for your baby that's if your not doing exclusive your baby will be fine with time

Your LO and mine are of the same age and you just described my baby poo. It is normal. Your child is ok
As for the dandruff like stuff, it is probably cradle cap. Just moisten the place with the coconut oil, leave it for sometime, then use comb to remove the dandruff.

Same here o sometimes she poops up to 5 times in a time although in bits, but I was told its because she's on EBF
So long baby is feeding well and gaining weight then there's no cause for alarm
For the cradlecap I'm just applying coconut oil religiously then i comb cos red Apocalypse flower did not work for us

Lmaoo grin cheesy. We did not do the one for Thursday because frankly i had to make a choice between my sanity and the assignment especially since hubby isn't around to help. When I took her to school yesterday, I just told her teachers thag her assignment was undone, they should add it to the one for weekend abeg.
