Morning All,
Please I have updated my proof of funds and I need IRCC to be aware as the one I earlier submitted is a way little below what was required, though have invested it all in fixed deposit. Kindly avail me the link and procedure of how to go about it. AOR(Dec 29).

So, I have been following this thread as a guest but decided to share my timeline even though I am an inland (CEC) applicant and there's no particular thread for us; I know some of us (CEC applicants) lurk around here just to compare and contrast plus canadavisa forum isn't really my thing.

AOR - September 27

Medicals Passed/Request Letter - October 25
Request was for RCMP criminal record check as I didn't include a Canadian police report with my application. Submitted it like two weeks later

Procedural Fairness - January 9
They needed extra proof of my Canadian work experience even though I had submitted paystubs, employment and job summary letters in the first place. I submitted my record of employment and a LOE same day

ADR (RPRF)/CoPR - January 16
Got the request to pay RPRF and CoPR same day. In the CoPR I was scheduled for an interview on January 24 and asked to come along with my passport, 2 passport photographs and proof of my status in Canada.

Finally my people. God did it

Ielts breakthrough on the 6th attempt

Have been struggling with listening since 2017.

It can only be God. I remembered I was in tears a day before the exam and all I was asking God was "GIVE ME A BREAKTHROUGH"

Some of previous results

LRWS: 6.5, 8.5, 7.5 7,
LRWS : 7.5 9, 6.5, 8,
LRWS: 7, 9, 7, 7

I can't remember others.

Then on the 5th Jan 2019. Right in the exam hall, I have a deep conviction that I am going to pass.

Then the result came: LRWS : 8 8 7.5 8

To all ielts hopeful
Never give up. Prepare and pray.

In my writing I included personal experiences and examples.

In listening I was not distracted and was very attentive. Though I got confused at one point. But God helped me.

It has ended in praise.

Explain you noticed a mistake in the calculation of your settlement funds and you are submitting an updated funds statement. You will then be able to upload your FD certificates(s).

Good morning all. Please I need a reliable and fast contact for DELSU's BSC transcript for my hubby as we registering and paying for ICES' credential evaluation today.

Hubby doesn't have his certificate but has notification of result which I understand from this thread ICES accepts. The question is, is it compulsory for him to apply for certificate and for the school to send a copy?

Thanks in advance

Good morning guys

So I have a friend who is skeptical about applying because of her son who has down syndrome.

I wasn't sure what to tell her...is down syndrome a problem for the express entry program?

I could give you an answer straight-up but it will only make you come back for more or worse still, take my words for it. Therefore, I strongly recommend you read page 1 thoroughly. That way, you know where to go for certain inquires and you're not just basing your decision on a total stranger.

You are free to fiddle with the CRS calculator. I strongly advise that you go back to page 1. see link to CRS cal. below

Use the CRS calculator to determine your CRS score for both single/ married. This will give you a clear picture and strategy.

Also note, you can add your husband to your application post AOR or even after PPR as long as you get married after AOR..

I will also advice you to read page 1 for more information

Good morning guys. I am having sleepless nights wit my application. This is because my reference letter from one of my employers doesn’t have any email address to be contacted just phone numbers. This same employer didn’t give any pay slips or offer letter for the duration I was there. So I only submitted the letter with just letter head, stamp, signature and nothing else. I am worried it may delay my processing.
I recently thought of printing my statement of account for the last 3months and sending to IRCC as well as his personal email address but I don’t know how to go about it. Also, my letters all had a Nigerian Canadian address in Lekki. I suspect it’s the vfs office. Please, any ideas? Everything else checks. AOR IS DECEMBER 31st.

Most people upload both. But you're good to go with the small one. That's the actual character certificate.

It remains valid for six months, this was confirmed by IRCC. Go ahead and submit, it hasn't expired yet
Modified:
Only upload valid PCC for the country you currently live in. So pay attention to the expiry date
Nigeria PCC is valid for 3 months ready4glory

Notification is accepted depending on the date it was issued, i sent them a snap shot of mine before i registered and they said it won't be accepted so i had to get my certificate from my school.

Personally, I don't think their is a cause for alarm, but if submitting those documents will give you peace of mind, use the webform: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx.

Which letters had Nigerian Canadian address?

I am grateful for this, you all have been helpful. Please to clarify things further, Am I safe to use the dates in which I started working as a Corp member, i.e from January to December 2017 (I included January because I believe the dates start counting from the date you entered camp) or I should just go ahead with the dates on discharge certificate which reads 24th October 2016 to 24th November 2017? (I understand that I don't have to submit my discharge certificate)
@adebee16 I intend following your advice to ace my IELTS as I can only afford to write it once. I look forward to seeing your response. Thank you

I think you should go ahead with the date in your discharge certificate. For two reasons:
1. It covers a whole year.
2. Just in case you're asked to submit additional proof of work experience (which is unlikely to happen) , submitting the discharge cert could help.
I hope you put NYSC in bracket already while filling your form.

@Joo2018 sir. I have a quick question.
Here is my situation :
I'm using NYSC too and I'm not in Nigeria at the moment. I served in a university. After several attempts, I was finally able to get the current HOD to write me a reference letter. It was what I already drafted. I was thinking he would type it on the university's letterhead which will contain the address and telephone number e.t.c, but he used the department's later head instead. The department's letter head doesn't have any address at all but his email is in the body of the letter.

The good news about this is that CIC wouldn't contact the official Phone number of the University cos if they do, the registrar or whoever is in charge might not be able to give any info about me. But the sad part is that, I am not sure if CIC does verification by email if not, I should be fine with that.

So boss, here is what I plan to do, I plan to add is complimentary card (I hope he gives me). Will that solve the problem and do I still need to notarize it?

Thanks

You're good as long as the the email address of the HoD is institutional (not yahoo or gmail etc).
No need for notarization.

Thanks in anticipation

Use the dates you actually started working and stopped. That's the period you have payment evidence for. And yes NYSC is for a year including the first few weeks in camp. Search the thread for the stories of those that successfully used NYSC experience for their applications. All the best with IELTS. You've got this!

good day everyone, pls what is the first step to take on this journey.

Hello People, good to be here after like a year. My question:

I have just completed my Msc IT from NOUN, results are out but the certificate isn't out yet. Which evaluating body can I use to quickly start my evaluation with the results alone?

I also hope I can get a Canadian Masters equivalency, cos anything short of that will not give the needed boost.

Anyone with experience or input along these lines

Thank u
