Have you tracked on https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ That should show you the current status of your application, if issued, or on administrative processing Kiaso82: |

I have been a super silent follower on this thread for close to 2 years and I have been saying I will create an account so I will feedback my experience. I have finally done so, although it’s several months later than anticipated but as they say, better late than never. *long post alert, readers beware* I am a Nigerian, living in the UK, I moved here about 4 years ago, I am married to a British citizen and I am still on a visa here as I need to have lived here for 5 years to qualify for ILR aka Resident Permit followed by British passport. |

springmystique:Thanks for sharing. I would say it's a numbers and probability game....not really about fairness or injustice Numbers...the number of people applying for US visas from the UK is probably 1% of the Nigerian applicants ...this is because of ESTA I guess...I would assume that the fewer people are applying for something....the lower the level of scrutinity Probability. ...there is a higher likelihood that a Nigerian living in Nigeria is a flight risk and has immigration intent compared to a Nigerian living in the UK legally... Happy that it was all smooth sailing for you. |

I have been following this trend recently and would want to share experience - Had B1/B2 before now (though a frequent traveller) but when God answered us and I conceived, we agreed to have our child in the USA. - I sent a change of intent letter - Travelled with Virgin Atlantic 22/01/19 and landed at JFK this morning. - Below is my POE experience * Did the self service stuff and got an X afterwards oooo ( that got me scared) * Headed to the CBP Officer who only asked me 3 questions; CBP Officer : What are you here for? Me: I am here for tourism and to give birth to my child CBP Officer: Where will you stay? Me: Hotel...gave the address CBP Officer How long are you here for? Me: I am here for 9weeks and 6days. The correct guy took my biometrics and stamped me in for 6months and wished me a safe delivery I headed to get My bags, custom did not even check my bag upon all the orishirishi I declared. God just had mercy on me. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and contributions. I will come back to share the complete testimony when LO arrives |
