Aguero was a top world class striker before Pep joined Man city. He did not become a top striker because of pep. At 29, Most strikers are either at their peak or past it. There is very little room for improvement at that age. 17, 18, 19 year olds usually have more capacity to improve. Ighalo will not suddenly become a great striker because of Messi. He will get more chances to score because of the people around him. that's about it.

Also, as long as a player is working in the right environment, he will surely learn. Ighalo in a team like Barcelona will certainly pick a lot from the team, in terms of tactics and strategy. Definitely his mind will broaden. His understanding of the game will definitely improve. Remember a player like Fabian Delph improved in not just his play but his tactical insight. Watching him especially when he drifts to midfield, you see him play with a mature understanding of the game.

Guardiola also drilled him in defending, which improved his ability to play multiple roles and made him more of a utility player.

Ighalo will learn a lot if he finds himself in such an environment will also learn things like their lifestyle, discipline in training and also tactical training. which will certainly mold him into a better player. Yes, he can also pick one or two things watching the likes of Suarez and Messi finishing.

When Gbenga Ogunbote came out and said that Rangers could have beaten that Algerian team Bel Abes 10-0 I thought he was just beating his chest but after watching this I kind of believe him.

Rangers appears to have a particular style of play. This reflects good coaching.

They should have scored more. Not up to 8 though.

Maybe 4 points but 9 points is too harsh

And trust Nigerian referees to be unprofessional

is it only Nigerian referees,

thing is there is bond to be a mistake, and also, there is that fan who always think the referee got his call wrong,

a stiffer punishment will be 12points, deduction,

or how did you know think other leagues got it right

The Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium has a lovely pitch that allows players to fully express themselves. Kudos to the Enugu government.

Astroturf. I remember Kanu and other pros used to avoid playing on Astro pitches during their careers because of the impact on their knees or something like that.

I wonder about the long term impacts of playing weekly on those pitches for local players.

Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo has been ranked the best Nigerian player in the big five leagues in Europe (Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) for the month of December.

International Centre for Sports Studies - CIES Football Observatory has rated players on a match-by-match basis by taking into account the pitch production and efficiency at both individual and collective level.

CD Leganes central defender Omeruo was the best rated Nigerian player at 75.3 and was 265th of the 751 players ranked.

Last month, Omeruo consistently delivered for CD Leganes in the Spanish topflight, helping the club remain undefeated with one win and three draws and went the distance in all the four matches.

The Super Eagles star was the standout performer for CD Leganes, going by the ratings and the 69th best footballer in Spain.

Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong made it into the list with a rating of 72.8 and ranked 374th.

Ola Aina (Torino), Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City) and Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) complete the top five Nigerian players for December 2018.

Top Five Nigerian Players For December 2018

1) Kenneth Omeruo - Leganes - 265th - 75.3
2) William Troost-Ekong - Udinese - 374th - 72.8
3) Ola Aina - Torino - 450th - 71.3
4) Wilfred Ndidi - Leicester City - 473rd - 70.8
Alex Iwobi - Arsenal - 473rd - 70.8

He and Ola Aina's ratings will soon rise to like 80 on FIFA. Ndidi going on 85.

Sunderland have told interested clubs that they will have to pay at least four million pounds to land Nigerian striker Josh Maja in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, Cardiff City are preparing a £2million bid for the former Super Eagles invitee which falls below the Black Cats valuation of the attacker.

Maja is on the radar of several clubs thanks to his blistering form in the League One and on top of that, he comes off contract at the end of the season and has yet to pen a new deal.

The 20-year-old has played a part in 17 goals from 24 appearances in the English third-tier, scoring fifteen and providing two more and only Doncaster's John Marquis has scored more goals than him.

Celtic, Rangers, Crystal Palace, Stuttgart, Cologne and Wolfsburg are among the clubs monitoring the situation of Maja.

He turned out for the youth teams of Fulham, Crystal Palace and Manchester City before joining Sunderland in 2015.

The highest point deduction I've heard of is 6 points for Club president pulling out a gun in the field

4 points is for grievous offenses

3 points is for offenses like beating up refs

Yeah sure. However it is still next best thing to High quality natural pitch. Especially the hybrid like the one in Aba.

Playing on patchy natural grass also has it's own side effects on the players. In addition it is not Viewer friendly and doesn't allow for free flow of Football.

The NPFL is only a reflection of the Nigerian system. U should even ask if we have hospitals that have such facilities in Nigeria. undecided

kai brother, don't always rubbish the system with unconfirmed and fake assumptions while making a point or points.

Sure the system is bad,the club managements are obsolete and extinct.but saying we don't have hospitals with such facilities is a pure broad day lie.

Rather some clubs may not afford or deem it fit to go for the facilities.maybe due to lack of funds, bad management system,or maybe they were trying to relay an encrypted message to the public.

Not even once was his name mentioned as a potential SE player. Even when he was doing well at a high level. I wonder why. Maybe he's been cap-tied by England or something.

Remo stars should be banned and ducked points. According to eye witness reports, it was Kunle Soname himself, the club proprietor who lead the thugs to the dressing room to beat up the refree.

A privately run club like Remo stars should set example and run like a model outfit.
Apparently, Remo stars lost their minds because of an offside call ( correct decision) which went against Remo, denying them a goal in the first half.
Will Soname bring thugs to beat up a ref in Portugal if a decision went against Fierense?

Hopefully, the Nff gives him a lengthy ban from stadia across across the country and also he should be suspended from all football activities and probably he must do time in a maximum prison to serve as detergent.
Gangsters like him shouldn't be at helm of sports in the country.

I think he should have sought a Team like Leed United, or perhaps join Lampard and Ashley Cole Derby County - if at all, if he's interested playing in the Championship. Fulham also would have needed his service based on his Experience in the League, and he's not a strange Player to Ranieri.

All in all, it's a good Move, cos he's gonna be fit ahead of AFCON.
