baby124:The US embassy is representing the US government in Nigeria. It is America on Nigerian soil. If Donald Trump wants to take any decision with regards Nigeria, he has to consult the US embassy in Nigeria for information before doing anything. |

toksbaba2000:Donald Trump shut down the Govt legally and continued negotiating with Congress. In fact, the reason for the shutdown is simply cos Trump can not have not he wanted unitarily without the Congress. That is a country of law. It shows the capacity of your brain that you are equating that with this aberration of Nigerian' s President |

RTSC:Any statement release on Nigeria will come from the US government not the embassy. Embassy has no right to issue this statement. Only travel alerts at the worst. They are not a government in Nigeria or an authority in Nigeria. Let’s keep things in perspective. If Nigerian embassy did the same or even Nigerian government you will be the first to insult them. |

The hasty suspension without regard for rule of law shows how desperate and low minded PMB is. I just hope he doesn't invite the hawk and the vulture to Nigeria, we can't afford to allow foreigners to destroy what we have been destroying. Africa especially Nigeria keeps taking a daily backward step. Buhari will fail on this. |

sgd:Nigeria's democracy is needlessly being endangered by Buhari. He is trying to rule Nigeria by force or cause a military take over of the country. Buhari knows that he could NEVER win a free and fair elections. Thus, he started with installing his puppets and family members into sensitive national positions at INEC to be reassured of their willingness to swiftly publish fake results on February 17, 2019. Buhari also knows the results will not hold under judicial scrutiny, thus his desperation to remove the CJN and compromise the Judiciary branch of government. These illegal actions of Buhari trying to exercise powers that he does not have under the Nigerian constitution is null and void. It will not stand!

nameo:All is interest. Is the CJN guilty or not? Since we are all trying to potray holier than thou. With this statement release will it not imply that the US government is open to retaining corrupt judges on their seats? If this was in the US he will have been forced to resign or prosecuted speedily with all sorts of hearings to disgrace him and his coming generations. |

auwal83:Yoruba Moslems are the problem of this country. Just look at the insanity above. The CJN is the head of the third arm of govt. Sanusi heads an organization that is under the executive. |

ayampissed:Is the Executive expected to take a decision on the Judiciary? Is the education system so dysfunctional that the principles of power desperation is no longer taught? Buhari can't make a binding decision on the Judiciary talk more of going back on one. |

baby124:This is not the first time the US embassy is issuing pre emptive statements in their host countries. Those statements are often well thought out, and in line with the constitution of the home countries. Nigeria embassy cannot do the same in America because America is not a Banana Republic. They don't need the support of Nigeria to elect their president. Their president also respect the constitution and don't need a foreign country to put them in order. Buhari and the apc was practically placed in office by the Obama administration. And when those objectives initially agreed between both parties is breached, the US have a right to call the erring party to order. When Obama was lending to the buhari ambitions, he was not supporting a dictator. Call your president to order, or the US will turn their backs on him. |

I suspect a lot of international backlash in the coming days. Just as is going on in Venezuela, the days of tyranny is over. Buhari just played into OBJ's hands big time |
